What is a remote digital asset?

Remote Digital Asset jobs involve managing, creating, organizing, or securing digital files and resources such as images, videos, documents, and cryptocurrencies from a remote location. These roles can include digital asset managers, digital archivists, NFT specialists, and blockchain analysts, among others. The main focus is to ensure that digital assets are easily accessible, properly cataloged, and safely stored or transferred online. Remote positions in this field allow professionals to work from anywhere while handling assets for organizations, marketing teams, or tech companies.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a remote digital asset manager?

To thrive as a Remote Digital Asset Manager, you need expertise in digital asset management (DAM) principles, file organization, metadata standards, and a background in information science or a related field. Familiarity with DAM software (like Bynder or Adobe Experience Manager), cloud storage solutions, and digital rights management tools is typically required. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills help you manage assets efficiently and collaborate across distributed teams. These skills ensure digital content is accurately stored, easily accessible, and securely managed, which is crucial for organizational productivity and brand consistency.

What are common challenges faced when managing digital assets remotely, and how can they be overcome?

One common challenge in a remote digital asset role is ensuring secure, organized, and efficient access to files across distributed teams. Miscommunication, version control issues, and inconsistent file naming are frequent hurdles. These can be overcome by using centralized digital asset management (DAM) platforms, establishing clear protocols, and maintaining regular communication with team members. Staying proactive about documentation and leveraging collaborative tools helps ensure assets remain accessible and up-to-date for everyone involved.

About Us:

Note: This career is located at the Lewis corporate office in Upland, CA., Monday to Thursday, with Fridays remote.

In this highly collaborative role, you'll oversee enterprise brand standards and key digital marketing practices while leading creative and UX/UI resources. You'll partner with marketing teams across the organization to provide the strategy, tools, standards, and expertise they need to deliver effective, consistent, and engaging customer-facing marketing.

This role requires someone who can move comfortably between strategy and execution-providing brand and digital leadership, collaborating across teams, working hands-on within WordPress, and partnering with agencies and specialists when additional expertise is needed.

Your Work will include:ย

  • Own and evolve Lewis brand standards, including visual identity, brand voice, templates, and shared marketing guidelines.
  • Lead and develop UX/UI and Marketing Design team members, providing direction, coaching, workload prioritization, and quality oversight.
  • Provide functional leadership for brand and digital marketing across Lewis, working collaboratively with business-line marketing teams to translate business strategies into effective creative and digital solutions and establish shared standards and best practices.
  • Develop practical standards, templates, playbooks, and best practices for websites, landing pages, email, social media, digital campaigns, and marketing materials.
  • Provide brand voice, writing, editing, and creative guidance to ensure consistency and quality across customer-facing communications.
  • Review high-impact campaigns, marketing materials, and digital experiences for brand alignment and overall quality.
  • Own the functional roadmap and shared standards for company websites and customer-facing digital experiences, including hands-on work within WordPress to manage and improve website content, pages, functionality, and user experience.
  • Guide UX/UI strategy across user journeys, accessibility, usability, testing, conversion optimization, and ongoing experience improvements.
  • Oversee shared creative systems, templates, reusable assets, and enterprise brand libraries.
  • Provide functional leadership and establish shared standards, performance expectations, and best practices across digital channels, including websites, email marketing and automation, SEO, social media, paid digital advertising, and other digital platforms.
  • Evaluate brand and digital marketing performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement, conversion, lead generation, and overall effectiveness.
  • Provide functional oversight of paid digital media, including campaign requirements, audiences, measurement, agency direction, and optimization.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations on priorities, capacity, workflows, vendors, and process improvements.
  • Manage relationships with creative, digital, website, and other specialist agencies and vendors.
  • Partner with internal marketing teams, UX/UI resources, agencies, and web development partners to implement website enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve website performance and conversion.

Skills for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Brand Management, Digital Media, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing, brand management, digital marketing, integrated marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience managing brand standards and supporting multi-channel marketing across websites, digital campaigns, social media, email, content, and other customer-facing channels.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing or developing employees and successfully leading cross-functional work through collaboration, influence, and subject-matter expertise.
  • Strong writing, editing, communication, and creative judgment with excellent attention to detail.
  • Hands-on experience working in WordPress, including creating and editing pages and content, working within templates and page-building tools, and coordinating with developers or agencies on more complex website enhancements.
  • Experience managing and collaborating with agencies, vendors, designers, web partners, and other creative and digital specialists.
  • Working knowledge of CMS, CRM, email marketing, marketing automation, digital advertising, social media, analytics, and related digital marketing platforms.
  • Ability to interpret marketing performance and translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Experience within a centralized, shared services, or integrated marketing organization is preferred.
  • Experience in real estate, property management, retail, hospitality, or another multi-location business is a plus.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a nationally awarded and recognized, growing company with a strong history, a broad future, and positive corporate culture. In addition to a competitive annual salaryย ($120-$130k), Lewis offers annual bonus and raise eligibility, $100/month cellphone reimbursement, a variety of health benefits to choose from, a 401k with company match, and much more.
