How much do remote dietary aide jobs pay per hour?

As of Jul 27, 2026, the average hourly pay for remote dietary aide in the United States is $14.85, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $12.98 and $16.35 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

Can you work remotely as a dietitian?

Remote work for dietitians is possible, especially for roles involving telehealth consultations, nutrition counseling, and virtual education. However, in many cases, dietitians need to be licensed in the state where the client is located and may require specific certifications. The availability of remote positions depends on the employer and the nature of the services provided.

What is the difference between Remote Dietary Aide vs Remote Nutrition Assistant?

AspectRemote Dietary AideRemote Nutrition Assistant
CertificationsFood Service or Dietary Aide CertificationNutrition or Dietetic Assistant Certification
Work EnvironmentHealthcare facilities, senior living, hospitalsHealthcare settings, clinics, community programs
Job ResponsibilitiesAssisting with meal prep, serving, dietary supportSupporting nutrition plans, patient education, data entry

Remote Dietary Aides primarily focus on meal assistance and dietary support within healthcare environments, often requiring food service certifications. Remote Nutrition Assistants handle nutrition education and support, often with additional nutrition-related certifications. Both roles serve in healthcare settings but differ in specific duties and certification requirements.

Is AI going to replace dietitians?

AI is unlikely to fully replace dietitians, as their expertise involves personalized assessment, counseling, and adapting plans to individual needs. AI tools can assist dietitians by providing data analysis and meal planning support, but human judgment and empathy remain essential in client care. The role of a remote dietary aide focuses on supporting dietitians and implementing plans, which AI can complement but not replace entirely.

Is working as a dietary aide hard?

Working as a dietary aide involves tasks such as preparing and serving meals, assisting with food service, and maintaining cleanliness in a healthcare or institutional setting. The job can be physically demanding and requires attention to safety and hygiene standards, but it generally involves routine tasks and teamwork. Experience with food handling and certifications like a food safety card can be helpful but are often provided on the job.

How much does a remote dietitian make?

A remote dietitian's average salary typically ranges from $50,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on experience, certifications, and work setting. Some may earn higher with specialized skills or advanced credentials, and remote positions often offer flexible schedules and the use of telehealth tools.
