Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' mental health and develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Engage clients in weekly therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities suited to their specific needs, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or mindfulness approaches.
• Monitor and document client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, cultivating a safe and inclusive space for participants to express their thoughts and feelings.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and peer support specialists, to provide integrated care.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in mental health treatment and integrate new techniques into your practice to enhance care quality.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with policies and procedures as well as legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position involves working with a diverse group of clients facing various challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, substance abuse, and relationship issues. You will play a crucial role in helping these individuals navigate their personal struggles and achieve meaningful growth through tailored therapeutic approaches. Your sensitivity to cultural nuances will help foster trust and engagement in the therapeutic alliance.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid professional licensure (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) in the State of Illinois.
• A minimum of four years of clinical experience providing mental health counseling in diverse settings.
• In-depth understanding of mental health disorders and a solid foundation in evidence-based treatment strategies.
• Strong crisis intervention skills with a proven ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technologies.
• Commitment to uphold ethical guidelines and maintain professional boundaries at all times.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with a multicultural clientele and a commitment to cultural competence in therapy.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions.
• Knowledge of telehealth best practices and experience utilizing virtual platforms for therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
