What is remote development?

Remote development refers to the practice of software development where developers work from locations outside of a traditional office environment, often from home or co-working spaces. This setup is enabled by various collaboration tools, cloud services, and version control systems that allow teams to communicate and manage code remotely. Remote development offers flexibility, can improve work-life balance, and allows companies to tap into a global talent pool. However, it also requires strong communication skills and self-discipline to ensure productivity and team cohesion.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote developer?

To thrive as a Remote Developer, you need strong programming skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience with relevant coding languages, often supported by a computer science degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, collaborative platforms such as GitHub or Jira, and remote communication tools like Slack or Zoom is essential. Excellent self-motivation, time management, and clear written communication help remote developers stand out. These skills ensure productivity, effective teamwork, and reliable project delivery in a distributed work environment.

How do remote development teams typically collaborate and stay aligned on projects?

Remote development teams usually rely on a combination of project management tools, version control systems, and regular virtual meetings to stay connected and aligned. Communication platforms like Slack or Microsoft Teams, along with daily stand-ups and sprint planning sessions, help ensure everyone is updated on progress and blockers. Code repositories such as GitHub or GitLab facilitate collaborative coding, while documentation tools keep information accessible. Effective remote collaboration often requires strong communication skills and self-discipline to manage tasks independently while staying engaged with the team.

$300K/yr

Job description

Senior Business Development Recruiter (AEC) โ€“ | Fully Remote | Build Your Territory | $100โ€“300K+/yr

Join Luxus Group โ€” Where Top Producers Build Real Income, Autonomy, and Ownership

Are you a high-performing recruiter or business development professional who knows how to win clientsโ€”but wants more upside, more control, and a better platform to grow?

At Luxus Group, we are not looking for order-takers.

We are building a team of business development-first recruitersโ€”individuals who can open doors, create opportunities, and then execute the full recruiting lifecycle to monetize those relationships.

This is not a traditional recruiting role.
This is an opportunity to build and run your own book of businessโ€”with the infrastructure, support, and compensation model to scale it.

The Opportunity

We are hiring Senior Business Development Recruiters with 3โ€“25 years of experience in direct hire recruiting and/or staffing sales, specifically within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.

This role is sales-first, execution-second.

You will:

  • Develop your own territory and niche within AEC

  • Prospect, pitch, and win new client relationships

  • Generate job orders through direct business development

  • Run full-cycle recruiting (intake โ†’ sourcing โ†’ placement โ†’ close)

  • Build a repeatable, scalable desk with long-term client partnerships

What Makes Luxus Group Different

Most firms separate sales and recruiting. We empower you to own bothโ€”and get paid accordingly.

You Bring the Drive. We Provide the Platform.

  • Proven business model built for business development-focused recruiters

  • Warm leads and inbound opportunities to supplement outbound efforts

  • Dedicated recruiting coordinators for sourcing + outreach execution

  • CRM, automation, and tech stack designed to accelerate production

Weekly Training, Mentorship & Deal Strategy

  • Live weekly training focused on BD, recruiting strategy, and deal flow

  • Direct access to leadership for client strategy and closing support

  • Real-time collaboration on high-value searches and opportunities

Built for Growth, Not Just Production

  • Opportunity to build a team under you as your book expands

  • Path into player/coach, team lead, or territory leader roles

  • Long-term wealth creation through client ownership and repeat business

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing

Business Development (Primary Focus)

  • Identify, prospect, and engage AEC firms within your territory

  • Conduct outbound outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn, referrals)

  • Pitch Luxus Groupโ€™s services and secure new client partnerships

  • Generate and qualify job orders

  • Build long-term, repeatable client relationships

Full-Cycle Recruiting (Execution)

  • Run intake calls and define hiring strategies with clients

  • Source, qualify, and present top AEC talent

  • Manage interview processes and candidate pipelines

  • Close offers and drive successful placements

  • Ensure high-quality client and candidate experience

Account Management & Growth

  • Own the client relationship from first contact through placement

  • Provide consultative hiring guidance and market insight

  • Expand accounts through upsells, referrals, and repeat business

  • Build a defensible, scalable book of business

Performance Expectations (KPIs)

This is a production-driven, sales-led role. KPIs are designed to support consistent pipeline generation and revenue growth.

Daily KPIs

  • 50โ€“100 outbound business development touches (calls, emails, LinkedIn)

  • 10โ€“25 live conversations with prospects, clients, or candidates

  • 2โ€“5 new client conversations or job intake discussions

  • 2โ€“5 candidate submittals to active job orders

  • CRM activity and pipeline updates maintained daily

Weekly KPIs

  • 250โ€“500 total outbound BD + recruiting activities

  • 8โ€“15 client meetings (BD calls, discovery calls, intake calls)

  • 3โ€“7 new job orders generated

  • 10โ€“25 qualified candidate submittals

  • 5โ€“10 candidate interviews scheduled with clients

  • 1โ€“3 offers extended or in process

Monthly KPIs

  • 10โ€“20+ job orders generated

  • 40โ€“80+ candidate submittals

  • 20โ€“40 client interviews facilitated

  • 3โ€“6+ placements (depending on deal size and cycle time)

  • Pipeline health:

    • Maintain 3xโ€“5x pipeline coverage relative to income goals

What Top Performers Do Differently

  • Prioritize business development every single day

  • Build niche dominance within a specific AEC vertical or geography

  • Convert clients into repeat, exclusive partnerships

  • Balance sales activity with efficient recruiting execution

  • Treat their desk like a businessโ€”not a job

Our Services (What Youโ€™ll Sell)

  • Direct Hire / Permanent Placement

  • Executive Search

  • Confidential Searches

  • Targeted Headhunting

  • Market Mapping & Talent Intelligence

  • Passive Candidate Outreach Campaigns

  • Pipeline Development for critical roles

Compensation & Earnings

All commission opportunity.

  • 50% โ€“ 80% of revenue generated\

  • 80% on any book of business you bring with you

  • No cap on earnings

Realistic Income Potential

  • Year 1: $100K โ€“ $300K

  • Expected income from each candidate placement: $15,000 - $18,000

Your income is directly tied to your ability to generate business and close dealsโ€”with the support to scale.

What We Provide

  • Fully remote, work-from-anywhere environment

  • Established brand in the AEC recruiting space

  • Warm leads + marketing support

  • Recruiting coordinators to support sourcing + outreach

  • Full CRM, automation tools, and tech stack

  • Weekly training, mentorship, and leadership access

Who You Are

  • 3โ€“25 years of experience in recruiting, staffing sales, or business development

  • Proven ability to generate new business and win clients

  • Experience in AEC recruiting or sales strongly preferred

  • Full-cycle recruiting experience (or willingness to own delivery)

  • Entrepreneurial mindsetโ€”you want to build a book of business

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills

  • Self-driven and thrives in a remote, performance-based environment

Why Top Producers Join Luxus Group

  • You control your incomeโ€”no caps, no ceilings

  • You own your clients and your territory

  • Youโ€™re supported by systems that eliminate low-value work

  • You get leadership accessโ€”not layers of bureaucracy

  • You can build something long-termโ€”not just chase commissions

Bottom Line

If you know how to open doors, win clients, and close dealsโ€”and youโ€™re ready to own the full lifecycle and maximize your earningsโ€”Luxus Group gives you the platform to do it.
