• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that include pre-crisis and crisis planning, behavioral guidelines, risk assessments, and positive behavior support plans.
• Facilitate consultations as needed with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the most effective intervention strategies are employed for each client.
• Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring all records are current and accurately reflect client progress and treatment efforts.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools and methodologies in treatment planning and implementation, collaborating closely with clinical teams to enhance client care.
• Participate actively in licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring that all services meet the highest quality standards.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and relevant service systems, state agencies, and community partners, advocating for client needs and resource accessibility.
• Foster open communication among teams and stakeholders to uphold contract standards and advance the agency's goals within the community.
• Engage in community outreach to establish and maintain partnerships with local, state, federal, and private organizations to promote mental health programming and secure new funding sources.
• Pursue opportunities for continued professional development by attending relevant conferences, educational sessions, and state-wide meetings in your area of expertise.
• Promote the agency's mission, values, and philosophy throughout your professional engagements.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Clinic Director that support the overall mission and effectiveness of our services.

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including those facing challenges related to emotional health, substance use, developmental disabilities, and acquired brain injuries. The role requires a compassionate approach to foster a safe environment in which clients feel heard and supported in their journey towards mental wellness. You will also cater to individuals seeking support during transitional life phases, ensuring that each client's unique needs are met through personalized care.

• A Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field is required.
• Must hold an independent Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential from the state of New York.
• Exceptional skills in maintaining clinical records and preparing comprehensive reports that adhere to established regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team, sharing insights and strategies to enhance client care.
• Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly and compassionately to clients and colleagues alike.
• Sound judgment and the ability to make independent clinical decisions based on your extensive professional knowledge.

• Previous experience in telehealth or remote mental health counseling is preferred, with familiarity in using virtual counseling platforms.
• Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in crisis situations, and an understanding of community resources available for clients.
• Proven ability to create and implement effective positive behavior support plans, particularly in collaboration with peers and external partners.
