Hoyle Tanner has an opening for an experienced CADD Designer in our Ground Transportation Services Group. You will be utilizing AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D and Revit on projects of significant scope, size, and difficulty. You will play a key role in graphics and the development of proposals. Location: Burlington, VT

Situated in the heart of Burlington's downtown district, our office sits high on the fourth floor of the Wells-Richardson historic building overlooking the beautiful Lake Champlain waterfront and Adirondack Mountains. 


Job Responsibilities: 

  • Have a primary role in an integrated, multi-discipline team that solves technical challenges on projects of significant scope, size, and difficulty
  • Complete tasks and deliverables accurately and on time with limited direction from other team members
  • Develop an understanding of project budget, scope of services, project development, and provide updates and recommendations to the Project Manager in maintaining schedule and budget with respect to CADD production
  • Conduct and complete routine engineering support tasks under the supervision of but without requiring significant guidance from an engineer
  • Understand the client's organization, manuals, and electronic standards and share best practices to improve performance and efficiency of self and team
  • Develop person-hour estimates and budgets with guidance from senior staff
  • Assist in the development of graphics for proposal efforts and development. May develop or assist in visualizations and/or photo-simulations using graphics software and other applications
  • Provide coaching and feedback to improve CADD efficiency and knowledge for engineers, peers and others as needed
  • Conduct site visits and participate in meetings with clients and contractors as needed

Requirements

  • Associate degree or certification in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a CADD Designer, or in a related field
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new software tools and engineering standards
  • Salary is contingent on experience
