A Remote Desk Adjuster is an insurance professional who evaluates and processes claims from a remote location, rather than in the field. They review policy details, assess damages through photos and reports, and determine appropriate settlements based on the policyholder’s coverage. Using phone calls, emails, and video conferencing, they communicate with claimants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate claim resolutions. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, along with proficiency in claims management software.

As a Remote Desk Adjuster, your day typically involves reviewing insurance claims, investigating supporting documentation, and communicating with policyholders and third parties via phone, email, or video calls. You'll often assess property damage or liability claims remotely, utilize specialized software to document findings, and collaborate with field adjusters or other departments when necessary. The role is largely independent but often features regular virtual team meetings for updates and case reviews. Balancing a steady caseload while providing prompt, professional service is central to succeeding in this position.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a remote desk adjuster?
