Prime Stable Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a remote capacity. This is a full-time position based in Savannah, Georgia, where you will play a key role in delivering professional mental health care to a diverse clientele. As you engage with clients via secure virtual platforms, you will maintain access to our electronic health record system, AVATAR, ensuring that you have the tools and resources necessary to deliver effective treatment and maintain accurate documentation.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments through preliminary interviews and subsequent follow-ups, ensuring thorough documentation from the initial consultation through the end of treatment.
• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health using established frameworks and evidence-based practices.
• Design individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing therapeutic techniques that promote healing and recovery.
• Facilitate engaging and transformative individual therapy sessions as well as structured group therapy sessions to foster community and shared experiences among clients.
• Monitor and assess client progress throughout the course of treatment, making adjustments to intervention strategies as needed to enhance effectiveness.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care plans and ensure holistic treatment approaches.
• Follow up with external healthcare providers regarding clients who may require hospital admission, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
• Identify barriers to recovery in client behaviors and proactively address these issues to facilitate positive change and progress.
• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, fostering a supportive network around the client.

The clientele at Prime Stable Psychotherapy Center encompasses a diverse range of individuals facing various mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Must hold current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
• Pass rates on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) are required.
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing a track record of successful client engagements.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems is essential, with experience using AVATAR viewed favorably.
• Familiarity with dealing with complex physical health conditions and substance use disorders is important.
• An understanding of the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is expected.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication abilities, ensuring clear and compassionate interactions with clients and colleagues alike.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, characterized by a kind and empathetic demeanor that fosters trust and rapport.

• Experience in a community health clinic setting is desirable, particularly familiarity with the challenges and resources available in such environments.
• Prior work focusing on addiction counseling or integration with primary care practices can be beneficial.
• Engagement with community outreach programs or public health initiatives targeting mental health is a plus.
