Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor, your core responsibilities will include:

• Providing ethical and compassionate counseling services through video chat platforms, engaging with clients in a supportive manner.
• Employing solution-focused treatment modalities tailored to individual needs, guiding clients through therapeutic practices.
• Creating and implementing personalized treatment plans that identify goals and monitor progress throughout the treatment process.
• Assisting clients in gaining insights into their experiences, enhancing their emotional awareness and interpersonal communication.
• Supporting clients in developing effective coping mechanisms to manage stress and emotional difficulties.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on stable, low acuity adults who require support with various mental health challenges. Understanding the unique backgrounds and circumstances of your clients is key to providing tailored care. You will engage with individuals presenting a wide range of mental health needs, helping them navigate their journeys towards improved mental health.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A relevant, fully unrestricted professional license to practice independently, such as:
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• No provisional licenses or disciplinary actions against your practice.
• Strong interpersonal skills characterized by empathy and active listening abilities.
• Proficient computer literacy, with the capability to use technology for client management.

Preferred Experience

While all qualified applicants are welcome, experience in telehealth services and familiarity with solution-focused therapies will be preferred. A proven track record of working with diverse adult populations in a clinical setting is also advantageous.
