Location: Remote, but must reside in Las Vegas Metropolitan Area

Job Summary

Our client is seeking an Attorney with civil litigation, insurance defense, or civil defense experience to join their growing legal team. In this role, you will represent insured policyholders in a variety of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, property damage, premises liability, and commercial disputes. You will manage a dedicated caseload from initial assignment to resolution—developing strategic defenses, conducting detailed discovery, and representing clients in court and mediation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a full range of insurance defense files with limited oversight.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and in-depth legal evaluations for claims adjusters.
  • Conduct and defend depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and expert professionals.
  • Devise and implement assertive, cost-effective defense litigation strategies.
  • Represent clients at court hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trial proceedings.
  • Prepare timely status reports to ensure compliance with carrier guidelines and billing requirements. 


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensure: Active member in good standing with the Nevada State Bar.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in civil, insurance, or defense litigation.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in legal research, oral advocacy, motion practice, and court proceedings.
  • Competencies: Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Location: This position is remote, however, you must reside in the Las Vegas Metropolitan area.
