Job description

Our client is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to accelerate growth within a strategic lipid-based ingredient portfolio. This role will focus on identifying and capturing new business opportunities, leveraging deep industry relationships, and expanding market share within established ingredient categories.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in branded ingredient sales, existing relationships with brands and contract manufacturers, and firsthand knowledge of the customer landscape within nutritional ingredients. This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives on business development and can quickly convert market opportunities into revenue growth.

Location: Remote – U.S. Based

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development efforts focused on specialty nutritional ingredients and lipid-based ingredient solutions.
  • Identify, target, and secure new customer opportunities among supplement brands, functional food and beverage companies, and contract manufacturers.
  • Leverage existing industry relationships and market knowledge to accelerate customer acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of near-, mid-, and long-term sales opportunities.
  • Develop strategic account plans to expand market penetration and increase share within targeted customer segments.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers while uncovering additional opportunities within key accounts.
  • Partner with commercial, technical, and R&D stakeholders to develop customized ingredient solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and market shifts.
  • Present technical product benefits and value propositions to both business and scientific audiences.
  • Collaborate with leadership on sales strategy, forecasting, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, quality, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings.
  • Maintain accurate CRM reporting, forecasting, and account management documentation.
  • Operate with a high level of autonomy, accountability, and entrepreneurial drive.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of B2B ingredient sales or business development experience within dietary supplements, functional foods, food ingredients, or nutraceuticals.
  • Strong understanding of lipid-based ingredients and their applications within nutrition and wellness products preferred.
  • Established relationships with supplement brands, contract manufacturers, formulators, and key industry decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated success identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Experience selling value-added or science-backed ingredient solutions.
  • Ability to engage both commercial and technical stakeholders throughout the sales process.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with a hunter mentality and a track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation: $130,000- 150,000 plus a bonus, full benefits, 401K match, etc.
