Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients’ social, emotional, and environmental challenges, utilizing evidence-based assessments to guide interventions.
• Develop personalized service plans in collaboration with clients that include specific goals, interventions, and regular progress tracking to measure effectiveness.
• Provide empathetic counseling and support for individuals and families experiencing a range of challenges, adapting your approach to meet their unique needs.
• Facilitate crisis interventions, conducting risk assessments and safety planning to support clients during critical moments.
• Collaborate with community agencies and organizations to coordinate services, ensuring clients have access to the resources they need.
• Engage in proactive community outreach initiatives to raise awareness about available services and foster trust within the community.
• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and training sessions to ensure you are up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends in social work.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals and families from various backgrounds, each facing unique and often complex challenges. Many of your clients may be experiencing crises related to mental health issues, housing instability, family dynamics, or trauma. As an LCSW, you will provide the necessary support to assist them in overcoming these obstacles, ultimately helping them to secure a healthier and more stable future.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required for this position.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
• Demonstrated understanding of social and economic justice issues, alongside a commitment to client advocacy.
• Strong familiarity with trauma-informed care practices is essential for effective client engagement.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to build trusting relationships.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a social service agency, particularly in a clinical capacity, is highly desirable.
• Experience with case management and collaboration with external agencies to coordinate support services is a plus.
• Understanding of and experience in addressing issues of homelessness, domestic violence, and substance abuse is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
