Trissential is seeking an experienced Database Developer to join our client's team and play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining critical database, ETL, reporting, and data integration solutions. Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise databases, including stored procedures, indexing strategies, and data models
  • Develop and optimize ETL pipelines and workflows using SSIS, Python, PySpark, and SQL Server technologies
  • Lead and execute large-scale data migration initiatives, including data cleansing, validation, transformation, and reconciliation activities
  • Create and optimize SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database objects to support data conversion and ongoing operational processes
  • Develop robust data ingestion and transformation workflows across raw, staging, curated, and analytics layers
  • Build, enhance, and maintain reporting and dashboard solutions using SSRS and Power BI
  • Design logical and physical data models, including ERD development and database architecture documentation
  • Develop views, stored procedures, SQL scripts, and other database components supporting transactional and reporting environments
  • Provide production support by troubleshooting data, performance, and system-related issues
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, development activities, testing, and deployment cycles
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable and maintainable data solutions
  • Provide knowledge transfer and technical documentation to support ongoing operations and future enhancements

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

  • 10+ years of experience in database development, database engineering, or data engineering roles
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft SQL Server and advanced T-SQL development
  • Proven experience with SQL performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience developing and supporting ETL processes using SSIS
  • Experience with Python and/or PySpark for data processing and transformation
  • Strong understanding of data integration, data governance, and enterprise data management principles
  • Experience designing logical and physical data models and implementing scalable database architectures
  • Experience developing reporting solutions using SSRS and Power BI
  • Ability to work effectively in Agile development environments and collaborate across technical and business teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience supporting mission-critical systems within financial services, government, legal, or highly regulated industries
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar DevOps platforms
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes supporting database deployments
  • Experience with enterprise-scale data warehouse environments and modern analytics platforms
  • Exposure to cloud-based data engineering and integration solutions
  • Experience leading data migration or modernization initiatives

Education & Certifications You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Data, Power BI, or related certifications are preferred but not required
  • Additional cloud, database, or DevOps certifications are considered a plus
