About Us

QISG leverages Quanta's comprehensive resources to deliver collaborative solutions for our partners' energy infrastructure needs. We use in-house talent, expertise and resources to plan, design, engineer, manage, conduct maintenance on and construct projects.

Our turnkey service capabilities provide our customers with efficiency, consistency, attention to detail and safe execution. The QISG team brings together Engineering, Safety, Quality, Material Procurement, QA/QC, Right-of-Way Acquisition, Scheduling, Environmental Planning, Permitting, Title and Land Management expertise that ensure outstanding results for our clients.

About this RoleAI / Data Architect

Location: Katy, TX - In OfficeSchedule: Monday-Friday | Core hours: 8:00 AM-5:00 PMOffice: 15011 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77094

Experience: 8-12 YearsVisa Sponsorship: QISG does not offer visa sponsorship of any kind for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.ย

What if you could take AI out of the lab and put it directly into the hands of the people building America's energy infrastructure? That's what we're doing at QISG.

QISG is investing in AI to transform how our teams plan, build, operate, and manage complex infrastructure projects. We're looking for an AI/Data Architect who can turn ambitious ideas into working solutions - quickly, responsibly, and at scale.

This is not a role where you'll spend your days writing strategy decks about what AIย could do. You'll work directly with business leaders, engineers, and field teams to identify real problems, build prototypes, prove value, and turn successful solutions into production-ready tools.

What You'll Do

As our AI/Data Architect, you'll be a senior technical leader helping shape the next generation of AI-enabled operations at QISG.

You'll move between strategy and execution - one day working with an executive to identify an opportunity, the next pair-programming a prototype, and later architecting a scalable solution that becomes part of how the organization operates.

You'll have the autonomy to experiment, the technical challenges to stay engaged, and the opportunity to see your work create measurable business impact.

  • Build agentic workflows that automate complex business processes
  • Extract knowledge from thousands of technical PDFs, spreadsheets, images, and other documents
  • Automate manual processes such as receipt capture and billable-rate validation
  • Reduce operational backlogs and eliminate repetitive work
  • Consolidate financial reporting across enterprise systems
  • Create intelligent document search and contract-analysis capabilities
  • Give teams faster access to the information they need to make decisions
  • Create AI-powered capabilities that simply weren't possible before
What You'll BringRequired
  • 8-12 years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML engineering, data engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals including version control, testing, CI/CD, and production-grade development practices
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and modern data platforms
  • Hands-on experience building with modern AI systems including LLMs, RAG, agents, prompt engineering, and tool use frameworks
  • Experience taking AI or ML systems from prototype to production, including monitoring, evaluation, governance, and scaling
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from problem definition through delivery and impact measurement
  • Experience with at least one AI coding or agent tool (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Codex)
  • Awareness of enterprise security, data governance, and responsible AI practices
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage executives, technical teams, and field stakeholders
Preferred
  • Experience in energy, utilities, EPC, infrastructure, or construction environments
  • Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders in fast-paced delivery settings
  • Familiarity with Claude, Anthropic APIs, MCP servers, or similar AI ecosystems
  • Experience building reusable frameworks, accelerators, or internal platforms
  • Background in customer-facing or embedded solution delivery roles
What You'll Get
  • Competitive base salary

  • Generous PTO & paid holidaysย to maintain work-life balance

  • 401(k) with a generous matchย to plan for your future

  • Comprehensive benefitsย - medical, dental, vision, and life insurance

  • Weekly payย for consistent, reliable compensation

  • Great mentoring & career growth opportunities - we invest in your developmentI-Remoteย
