Job description

Overview

The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA)*, the private fundraising and alumni relations organization for the UW-Madison, is seeking a Constituent Data Processing Coordinator.  In this position, you will be responsible for creating constituent records and maintaining demographic data and other identifiers in the enterprise database with an emphasis on quality, efficiency and internal/external customer service.

Please note: We can hire for this position to work 100% remote only if you reside in the following states: Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Texas, or Wisconsin.

Who is WFAA?
The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association is a private, nonprofit corporation that encourages individuals and organizations to make gifts to the university and to connect with the UW. In 2014, the UW Foundation merged with the Wisconsin Alumni Association® to better serve a growing population of UW alumni and donors. We believe that private support grows out of good relationships between campus leaders, faculty and program staff who need support, and the alumni and friends who want to invest in UW–Madison. We provide important engagement opportunities to link UW–Madison alumni to each other and to their alma mater, building a strong community of Badgers.

Diversity and Inclusion:

Just as the university community benefits from differing viewpoints, perspectives, and experiences, inclusion and diversity are imperative for the success of our mission. WFAA values people and the differences that they bring to the organization, and creates an environment in which all staff members and constituents feel respected and have opportunities to thrive.

  • Monitor and process requests received through an electronic ticket system. Respond to the sender in a helpful and timely manner and process their update or request.
  • Receive and process information from paper mail returns received by the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association [WFAA] or from affiliated campus departments and units.
  • Use online tools to research and locate updated demographic information.
  • Collaborate and share best practices with team members and partners in other WFAA departments.

Project Work

  • Participate in recurring projects as an individual contributor and/or team member.
  • Suggest projects that could help standardize the data and provide a better overall experience to our customers.

Customer Service

  • Establish and maintain mutually respectful relationships with WFAA staff and campus partners from units and departments affiliated with UW-Madison.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to WFAA staff, campus partners, alumni, donors, and friends. In all cases, provide timely resolution to requests and questions professionally and courteously.

Other Duties

  • Adhere to WFAA and departmental business processes, rules, and best practices.
  • Perform basic queries on the database that are used to review and, as necessary, clean up entries in the records.
  • Participate in all Constituent Data Processing team meetings.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities offered at WFAA or through an external organization
