Candidates will be allowed to work a hybrid on-site/remote schedule. The hybrid schedule is 2 days per week on-site work in Madison, WI. Candidate must relocate, if not local, and be located in Madison, WI from day one.
 
Our direct client has an opening for an Oracle Database Administrator position # 90718. This position is for 12+ months, with the option of extension, and is located in Madison, WI.

Description:
  • Top 3 or 4 Desired Skills: Oracle 12.x & 18.x OLTP/Warehouse databases, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13, SQLNavigator.
  • Nice to have Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, and analytical/problem-solving skills.

Additional details: 
  • The successful candidate will be very technically competent, a consistently high producer, and very much a team player.  They will have experience with Oracle databases supporting client/server applications.
 
Brief Project Description
This request is for an advanced Oracle Application Database Administrator (DBA). Best-qualified candidates will have strong Oracle application, OEM, and Erwin experience using Oracle 12.x to 18.x environments.
 
This position provides advanced-level technical expertise and support within the Technical Services Section for DWD's Oracle database environment.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Database security administration, research, implementation, maintenance, tuning, and troubleshooting of database architectures and data management software for various platforms.
  • Work with application development staff on logical database design.
  • Designing and implementing physical databases including multi-agency OLTP and data warehouse.
  • Collaborating on the design and installation of maintenance and upgrades to database software.
  • Monitoring performance and making tuning recommendations.
  • Estimating database growth for capacity planning; and, problem determination and resolution.
 
Qualified candidates must have prior experience as an Oracle Application DBA.

  • Oracle 12.x & 18.x OLTP/Warehouse databases.
