Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a (Part-Time) Data Analyst to join our team supporting the Defense Health Agency in the Northern Virginia Area.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Public Trust Clearance required 
  • Part-Time (3-5 hours per day during standard business hours)
  • Remote position (seeking local candidates only, as occasional onsite work may be required in Northern Virginia with short notice)

The Data Analyst supports enterprise data management, analytics, and governance efforts that enable mission-critical decision-making across the Defense Health Agency. This role is responsible for assessing data quality, supporting reporting and analytics initiatives, and improving data visibility, governance, and usability across systems. The position directly supports program objectives by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and availability of data used for analytics, reporting, and operational insights.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Execute configuration management lifecycle activities, including establishing baselines and tracking changes.
  • Perform data readiness assessments evaluating quality, completeness, accuracy, and governance.
  • Conduct data discovery, inventory data sources, and map data lineage across systems.
  • Identify data gaps impacting analytics, reporting, automation, and AI enablement.
  • Develop metrics, findings, gap analyses, and actionable roadmaps for data improvement.
  • Conduct data profiling and quality assessments to identify and communicate issues.
  • Recommend remediation strategies to improve data quality, integrity, and usability.
  • Support enterprise data governance bodies and stewardship initiatives.
  • Recommend architectural improvements to enhance data interoperability and standardization.
  • Support analytics platforms, modernization efforts, and AI readiness initiatives.
  • Utilize SQL, Python, and BI tools to analyze and validate data sets.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to align data solutions with mission needs.

Part-Time Availability Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with five (5+) years of relevant experience or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience with data analysis, data governance, or enterprise data environments required.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, and data visualization or BI tools required.
  • Experience performing data profiling, data quality assessments, and analysis required.

Preferred:  

  • Active Public Trust or Secret Clearance preferred.
  • Experience supporting DoW or Defense Health Agency environments.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and data management best practices.
  • Experience supporting analytics, reporting, or AI enablement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of enterprise data architecture and interoperability concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
