Job description

Iteris is seeking a Sr. Director, Analytics & SaaS Sales to lead the growth, adoption, and commercialization of our ClearGuide and ClearData platforms. This is a strategic GTM leadership role responsible for transforming our analytics and data solutions into a scalable, predictable SaaS revenue engine. The Sr. Director will own revenue outcomes, define and execute the go-to-market strategy, and build and lead a specialized sales team focused on driving adoption across:
  • Public sector agencies (DOTs, cities, traffic operations and planning teams)
  • Engineering and consulting firms
  • Private sector data consumers (insurance, ISVs, enterprise analytics buyers)

This role operates as an overlay to the core sales organization, partnering closely with Public Sector Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to drive disciplined growth, expansion, and long-term customer value.
Candidates located within commuting distance will be expected to be onsite four days per week at our Irvine, CA office. Those residing outside the area will be eligible for a remote role.
What you will be doing:
  • Own global revenue targets for ClearGuide and ClearData, including ARR growth, expansion, and retention
  • Define and execute the SaaS growth strategy in partnership with executive leadership
  • Drive forecasting rigor, pipeline visibility, and deal inspection cadence
  • Establish and track attach, expansion, and adoption targets across strategic accounts
  • Build and lead a team of SaaS Sales Specialists focused on analytics and data solutions
  • Operate as an overlay team, enabling and supporting Public Sector Sales on complex opportunities
  • Coach the team on discovery, value-based selling, trials, ROI articulation, and multi-stakeholder engagement
  • Establish a performance culture aligned to pipeline generation, conversion, and recurring revenue growth
  • Define customer segmentation and sales plays across: Agencies (operations, planning, safety), Consultants and engineering firms, Private sector data
  • buyers (insurance, ISVs, enterprise analytics teams)
  • Determine when and how ClearGuide and ClearData are introduced across the customer lifecycle
  • Partner with Marketing to drive demand generation and thought leadership in traffic analytics
  • Collaborate with Product to ensure roadmap alignment with monetization, packaging, and market needs
  • Establish and scale SaaS-specific forecasting and reporting processes
  • Drive pipeline discipline, CRM hygiene, and repeatable sales execution standards
  • Track and manage key SaaS metrics including: ARR growth, Expansion and retention, Attach rates, Pipeline coverage and conversion, CAC efficiency
  • ClearGuide and ClearData deliver consistent, forecastable ARR growth
  • A repeatable SaaS sales motion is established across all target segments
  • Measurable penetration and expansion within top agency and consultant accounts
  • Increased software attach across the installed hardware base
  • Clear visibility into pipeline, performance, and P&L contribution
  • A high-performing team operating with discipline, accountability, and cross-functional alignment

What you need to be successful in this role:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Over eight (8) years of experience in B2B SaaS or hardware-enabled SaaS sales
  • Proven success building and scaling analytics, data, or application-driven revenue streams
  • Experience leading teams in complex enterprise and/or public sector environments
  • Experience operating in overlay sales models
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence across Sales, Product, and Marketing
  • Experience in transportation, traffic analytics, infrastructure, or smart city markets strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build repeatable sales processes, forecasting discipline, and pipeline rigor

The anticipated on target earnings for this role are $300,000 to $325,000. This amount includes annual base pay plus quarterly commissions. Actual pay offered may be below or above these amounts, depending on the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
