Associate Director, Market Access Data Science & Analytics PURPOSE The Associate Director, Market Access Data Science & Analytics, part of Bayer's Commercial Data Solutions team for US Market Access, conducts in-depth analysis of sales, patient engagement, payer and operations data. Collaborating with Insights & Analytics, Market Access, and Patient Services teams, they help guide business decisions that improve both financial results and patient outcomes across the portfolio.

The position has the primary ownership of market access data & analytics and is responsible for end-to-end processes driving business insights. Day-to-day responsibilities include: Understanding stakeholders' key objectives, needs, and challenges Extracting valuable and actionable insights from datasets; identifying emerging trends Designing compelling stories within data that facilitate stakeholder decision-making Proactively anticipating stakeholders' needs Continuously looking for ways to measure and demonstrate business value. Ensuring the data integrity is intact and trusted YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSBILITIES The primary responsibilities of this role, Associate Director, Market Access Data Science & Analytics, are to: Leverage Market Access data expertise to understand strategic business priorities, develop overarching data strategy to address key business questions.

Design and implement practical data-driven solutions to facilitate analysis of payer behavior, specialty pharmacy dynamics, and the patient journey. Develop quantitative frameworks tailored to Market Access, including models analyzing payer impact, formulary change effects, PA/SP restrictions, co-pay dynamics, and analytics for affordability programs Apply advanced statistical techniques to quantify payer mix, payer behavior shifts, rebate utilization, SP adherence patterns, and patient journey frictions. Build optimization algorithms to support contracting strategy, copay programs, distribution models, and affordability programs.

Enable data-driven decisions by aligning data sources to business needs, key questions, and ensuring their accessibility for analysis and reporting. Aggregate data and perform analyses from various critical commercial data assets, including sales, syndicated claims, marketing, patient services, and HP-PBM invoices to generate Market Access Insights. Develop, standardize, and manage comprehensive business rule documentation from both technical and business perspectives.

Accountable to drive quality and stability of data for key business KPIs. The location for this role is Whippany, NJ. Candidates not currently commutable to the Whippany, NJ must be willing/able to relocate to the area as a remote with travel arrangement will not be accommodated.

Relocation assistance will be offered. WHO YOU ARE Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree combined with over 10 years of relevant experience is required. Extensive experience in US pharma industry, with deep hands-on expertise in market access data and analytics.

Strong hands-on experience with commercial pharmaceutical data, including SP/SD/sales datasets, syndicated claims, access data such as DRG and MMIT, patient service platforms like Relay Health, BlinkRx, CoverMyMeds, Connective Rx, as well as formulary and related datasets. Expertise to developing analytics pipelines (Python/SQL/Snowflake) for ingestion, transformation, modeling, and visualization. Developed analytic models for payer behavior shifts, rebate utilization, patient journey frictions, and SP adherence patterns.

Demonstrated proficiency in designing, implementing, and overseeing data quality frameworks for commercial data assets. Strong influencing, networking, and stakeholder management skills within a matrix organization. Skilled in written and verbal communication to influence action and achieve project success through collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications: 7+ years US Healthcare/Pharma experience with extensive knowledge in pharma Market Access data and analytics capabilities. This role will be available for applications until at least 3/17/2026. Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $115,072.00 - $172,608.00

Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
