Role: Business Systems Analyst
Location: 100% Remote | Preferred: Newark, NJ (Hybrid Optional)
Duration: Contract through December 2027 (Potential for Full-Time Conversion)
Work Hours: East Coast (with some flexibility for global teams)
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to support a large-scale, cross-functional payment migration and treasury transformation initiative. This role will play a critical part in migrating legacy payment processes into the Kyriba platform, with a strong focus on payment configuration, process redesign, and stakeholder collaboration.
This is a high-visibility role within a complex Agile delivery environment, involving close interaction with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and treasury teams.
Project Context
  • Enterprise-wide payment modernization initiative
  • Migration of a large book of business from legacy systems
  • Implementation and configuration within Kyriba TMS
  • Project currently transitioning from Design Build phase
  • ~40-50 stakeholders across multiple business units

Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Delivery:
  • Partner with Product Owner, developers, and cross-functional teams to gather, refine, and document business requirements
  • Translate high-level requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories
  • Ensure Kyriba system configuration aligns with business and treasury requirements
  • Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stand-ups

Payments & Treasury Focus:
  • Work extensively within the Kyriba Payments module
  • Analyze and support payment types including:
    • ACH (high priority)
    • Check processing
    • Wire transfers (secondary)

  • Understand and document end-to-end payment workflows and lifecycle


Integration & Data Flow:
  • Collaborate on file transfer and integration design
  • Support payment flows:
    • Incoming feeds from internal upstream systems
    • Outgoing feeds to banks and third-party vendors (e.g., print vendors)

  • Work with technical teams to ensure accurate data mapping and system connectivity


Testing & Implementation Support:
  • Develop and review UAT test scripts and scenarios
  • Partner with QA and business users to execute testing cycles
  • Validate system functionality against business requirements

Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with 40-50 business stakeholders across departments
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and status meetings
  • Act as a liaison between business and IT teams

Training & Documentation:
  • Develop end-user training materials
  • Support or co-lead training sessions
  • Create process documentation and user guides

Required Qualifications:
Technical & Functional Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with Kyriba (configuration and implementation preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of payment processing, including:
    • ACH
    • Check payments
    • Payment lifecycle and flows

  • Experience with file transfers, integrations, and system connectivity (e.g., SFTP, bank interfaces)
  • Proven experience in system implementation or migration projects


Business Analysis Expertise:
  • Strong skills in:
    • Requirements gathering & documentation (BRD, FRD, user stories)
    • UAT support and test script creation
    • Process analysis and improvement

  • Experience working in Agile environments


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in treasury or cash management domain
  • Exposure to Treasury Management Systems (TMS)
  • Prior experience with payment modernization initiatives
  • Familiarity with bank integrations and payment connectivity frameworks

Soft Skills:
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Strong facilitation and meeting leadership skills
