- Strategically plan and recommend approaches for alternative NEPA processes, including compressed reviews for Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), to address national energy emergencies while aligning with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with BIA Central Office and Regional staff on data collection, impact assessments, mitigation strategies, budgeting documentation, resource assessments, and financial reporting under key statutes such as the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA).

- Develop high-quality reports, budgets, project schedules, outreach materials, and tracking updates using Microsoft Word and secure shared sites; maintain 98% accuracy, ensure Section 508 accessibility, and reflect in-depth expert knowledge.
- Resolve complex problems through in-depth evaluations of procedures, processes, techniques, and systems related to environmental management; recommend solutions and report outcomes to leadership.
Required Qualifications

- At least 6 years of industry experience in environmental engineering for energy projects, including NEPA compliance and critical minerals development.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal statutes (e.g., NEPA, FRA 2023, OPA) and proven experience with Tribal engagement.
- Ability to travel up to 50% and maintain a valid driver's license; must pass a background investigation.
