The Data Center Tender/Quotation Specialist for ABB (Electrification, Distribution Solutions Services) will provide national support to the Data Center Key Account Managers in the development of field services proposals for mission-critical data center infrastructure, including power delivery, power utilization and automation systems. In this role you will identify and propose value-added service solutions to data center operators and colocation providers including Start-Up & Commissioning Services, Preventive Maintenance for critical power systems, Power Distribution upgrades to support capacity expansion, Arc Flash Mitigation Solutions, and 24/7 Emergency Service Agreements tailored to uptime requirements. In this fast paced, end-customer-facing role, you will require a strong field service background in critical power systems and data center environments, and highly effective communication and organizational skills.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Services Division in the United States.
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Formulating competitive bids, estimates, and quotations by considering the best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial aspects for each situation.

  • Ensuring tenders are well-documented in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs.

  • Leading and managing the planning and preparation of technical, financial, and, if required, project management aspects of the bid, estimate, and quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions.

  • Managing the collection and archival of documentation regarding the offer/order and recording of assumptions and decisions made during development; and ensuring the status of the bids, estimates, and quotations are reported regularly.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM or business

  • 12+ years in Sales, Commercial Operations, Engineering or Field Service is required

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically, as required

  • Experience with industrial power delivery and/or power distribution systems, ideally in data center market.

  • Technical experience with data center customers and processes

  • Ability to interface closely with internal & external customers.

  • Previous contract terms & conditions, or execution experience

  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $119,000 and $190,400 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
