As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual psychotherapy tailored to clients with mental health concerns in the context of substance abuse treatment.
• Conducting thorough assessments and developing personalized treatment plans that utilize best practices and solution-focused interventions.
• Administering evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), specifically designed to facilitate substance abuse recovery.
• Maintaining meticulous and compliant clinical records in accordance with organizational protocols and legal requirements.
• Collaborating with the treatment team to ensure coordinated and holistic care for our patients.
• Educating patients and their families on available mental health and substance abuse resources to foster understanding and support.

You will primarily work with a diverse population of individuals struggling with substance abuse and its accompanying mental health challenges. This patient demographic may include those in active recovery, individuals seeking detoxification, and others requiring supportive mental health services. Your role will involve understanding their unique experiences and tailoring interventions that resonate with their individual recovery journeys.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LICSW license in the state of Massachusetts.
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, particularly in substance abuse therapy settings.
• In-depth knowledge of solution-focused interventions and therapeutic modalities relevant to addiction recovery.
• Exceptional communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

While 1 year of experience is required, candidates with additional experience in working with specialized populations, such as dual diagnosis patients or those with co-occurring disorders, will be prioritized. familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and data management software can also be beneficial in streamlining patient documentation and communication.
