Job Summary

The (per diem) Research Data Analyst will work to assist team members, trainees, and faculty with projects with analytic, programming, and computational needs. This research, clinical, and analytic work is done autonomously and with supervision of the Principal Investigator for ongoing data-driven projects.
This individual works as part of a dynamic group dedicated to faculty, clinical, and academic work, in a team where professionalism, intelligence, adaptability, and collegiality are prized. Current electronic programs span data collection, presentation, processing, reports, and database expansion. This work also includes web-based, secure interfaces, as well as interfacing with electronic health records. Beyond these primary roles, this position also includes interfacing with other team members to support ongoing clinical, epidemiological, and academic research projects.


Qualifications

Essential Functions:

-Provide direct assistance with writing code and assessing results for analytic, programming, computational, and clinical data needs, including data curation, vetting, and assessments
-Performs programming, computations, statistical analysis; prepares drafts of work for review; applies feedback received to create final analyses and/or reports
-Meets with the PI and team to about analytic and programming plans, activities, and results to support the applicability of efforts, learning opportunities, and professional development
-Administrative tasks as required for data collection, related documentation, orientation materials, and record-keeping
-Literature searches and citation management

-May present at team and related meetings.

Education

Bachelor's degree required.

Master's Degree a plus - in Statistics, Quantitative Science, Epidemiology, and/or Computer Science


Experience
Experience as attained through education 0-1 year required

Job Specific Additions

-Prior training to include programming skills in Stata, including data appends, merges, curation, and analytics

-Participates in ensuring the functionality, performance, and compliance of digital solutions, including appropriate security

-Facility and reliability in timely programming of data collection mechanisms

-Facility with curation and analysis of databases which can interface with electronic health systems and secure web-based interfaces

-Supports complex data capture, including some system administration

-Develops and maintains SOPs for data collection, management, and reporting

-An ideal candidate will have knowledge of APIs and web-based programming

-Ability to perform system administrator functions, e.g. version or software updates to .NET and similar programs

-Programming to maintain network resiliency, ensure data integrity, and/or optimize based on user feedback

-Detailed written documentation of work

-Dependable contribution to the productive, kaizen, and good-hearted culture of the established team

-Programs with sufficient skill to support independent project work

-All other duties as assigned

-experience with Full Stack Programming (e.g. React, Python, C# .NET) is a plus.

-This is a per diem position with the potential to expand hours if the candidate is successful.
