CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. YOUR TEAM.
The Manager of Reporting & Analytics leads a team of BI professionals responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI solutions that transform raw data into actionable business insights. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with people management, ensuring the team delivers high-quality dashboards, reports, and data visualizations aligned with enterprise data strategy and governance standards.

YOUR ROLE.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Power BI developers, including performance reviews, goal setting, and career development planning.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain top BI talent; build a high-performing development team.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative team culture and promote knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Allocate resources and prioritize workload across multiple concurrent projects and business stakeholders.
Technical Oversight & Solution Delivery
  • Oversee the end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
  • Establish and enforce development standards, coding best practices, and reusable design patterns (e.g., DAX conventions, data model standards, naming conventions).
  • Review and approve Power BI solutions for quality, performance, accuracy, and compliance with enterprise data governance policies.
  • Drive performance optimization of Power BI reports, data models, and queries to ensure scalability and responsiveness.
Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, and subject matter experts to understand analytics and reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Power BI development team and business units, IT, project managers, and data governance teams.
  • Present insights, dashboards, and analytics roadmaps to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
Governance, Security & Administration
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, data quality, and security standards, including row-level security (RLS) and data classification policies.
  • Manage the Power BI Service environment, including workspace administration, capacity planning, and deployment pipelines.
  • Oversee the self-service BI intake process, provisioning tools and access for end-users within defined governance boundaries.
Strategy & Continuous Improvement
  • Define and execute the Power BI development roadmap in alignment with the enterprise data and analytics strategy.
  • Stay current with the latest Power BI features, Microsoft Fabric capabilities, and industry BI trends; evaluate and adopt new technologies as appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and innovation in reporting and analytics delivery.
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to measure team productivity, solution quality, and business impact.
YOUR EXPERIENCE.
The successful candidate will have:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, ore related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7 years in business intelligence, data analytics, or Power BI development, including 3+ years in people management or a team lead role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI Desktop & Service, DAX, Power Query (M language), and data modeling (star schema, relationships).
  • Strong SQL skills; able to build complex queries, experience with data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop technical teams; experience managing project timelines and competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex data concepts into business-friendly language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300), Azure Data Engineer, or similar certifications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, or similar cloud data platforms.
  • Familiarity with additional BI tools (e.g., Tableau, SSRS, SSAS).
  • Knowledge of enterprise data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM) and regulatory standards (e.g., BCBS 239).
  • Experience with Python or R for advanced analytics.
  • Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies for BI project delivery.

In Massachusetts, the salary range for a GDC Manager is $125,000 to $200,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
