What you'll do

As a Pension Analyst, you'll play a supportive role in administering pension plans and providing analytical and administration support. Here's what you'll do:

  • Respond to plan inquiries and requests from clients promptly and professionally

  • Assist in calculating and processing timely payment of termination, retirement, and death benefits for simple plans

  • Support the consulting team in fostering strong relationships with clients

  • Help coordinate information flow between clients and trustees

  • Assist in reconciling plan assets and plan memberships

  • Support the preparation of year-end annual pension statements

  • Assist in preparing membership and asset data for actuarial valuations

  • Apply and interpret basic pension benefit calculations in accordance with plan provisions and legislative requirements

  • Work with pension databases to ensure data accuracy

  • Attend internal training sessions to stay updated on industry trends and topics

  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to add value

  • Assist with special projects as required to support team goals

What you bring

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with:

  • A keen interest in pension administration and a desire to learn

  • Post-secondary education (preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science) or relevant courses related to Pension Administration

  • Basic knowledge of Defined Benefit pension plans and provincial pension and tax legislation (an asset, but not required)

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills

  • A strong client service focus with exceptional professional acumen

Salary Range: $39,900 - $74,100 CAD Annual
Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
