About the RoleThe People Analytics team is looking for a senior data analyst who is passionate about using data to answer business questions and influence decisions. This role sits at the intersection of business analytics consulting and employee listening, supporting company-wide decisions through data analysis, survey insights, and people metrics.What You'll DoAct as an analytics consultant to the business- Partner with stakeholders to quickly understand business questions and translate them into clear, actionable analyses- Deliver timely, high-quality insights that inform decisions on engagement, retention, performance, and organizational health- Balance speed and rigor to support both rapid questions and deeper divesDrive employee listening insights- Analyze Uber-wide employee survey data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities- Support survey reporting, interpretation, and storytelling to drive action across teams- Contribute to improving how we measure and understand employee experienceWork with people data at scale- Query, clean, and analyze data from multiple data sources (e.g., HRIS, surveys, behavioral data)- Build survey dashboards, reports, and repeatable analyses that enable self-service and scalable insightsCommunicate and influence- Translate data into clear narratives, visualizations, and recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences- Partner with cross-functional teams (HRBPs, leaders) to ensure insights drive actionBasic Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., Economics, Psychology, Business, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related)- Strong SQL expertise with the ability to independently write complex, efficient queries on large datasets- 2+ years of experience analyzing data and delivering insights in a business environmentPreferred Qualifications- Experience using tools such as Python, R, Excel, or similar for data analysis- Experience in people analytics, HR data, or employee listening (survey) analysis- Familiarity with Qualtrics is strongly preferred, including building dashboards in Qualtrics- Experience in statistical modeling and data science- Experience with survey design, measurement, or organizational research concepts- Demonstrated ability to leverage Generative AI tools to automate or augment data analysis and insight generation- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business questions into structured analysisFor San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$131,000 per year - USD$145,500 per year.You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan
