What is remote data analysis?

Remote data analysis refers to the process of examining, interpreting, and drawing insights from data using digital tools, while working from a location outside of a traditional office setting. Professionals in this field utilize statistical software, databases, and visualization tools to analyze large datasets and help organizations make informed decisions. Remote data analysts often collaborate with team members and stakeholders virtually, ensuring that data-driven strategies are implemented effectively. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings clearly.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote data analyst?

To thrive as a Remote Data Analyst, you need strong analytical skills, statistical knowledge, and a background in fields like mathematics, statistics, or computer science. Proficiency with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, and visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI is typically required. Excellent communication, self-motivation, and time management help remote analysts present insights clearly and stay productive without direct supervision. These skills and qualities ensure accurate data-driven decisions and effective remote collaboration with stakeholders.

How do remote data analysts typically collaborate with team members and stakeholders?

Remote data analysts often use a combination of communication and project management tools—such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom—to stay connected with colleagues and stakeholders. Regular virtual meetings, shared dashboards, and collaborative platforms enable them to discuss findings, gather requirements, and provide updates on ongoing projects. Clear documentation and proactive communication are essential to ensure alignment, especially when working across different time zones or departments. Building strong relationships with team members virtually can help streamline workflows and facilitate effective decision-making.

We are seeking an experienced Pricing Analyst to lead key strategic projects and ensure accurate, competitive, and profitable pricing. The Pricing Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing material costs, driving project-based pricing, and managing surcharge/tariff-related adjustments. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle increased, fast-paced workloads and provide immediate support to cross functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Project Management: Assist with major, ongoing projects, specifically Quarterly Material Adjustments, the Re-pricing of Low Margin Parts and Surcharge/Tariff Management initiatives to protect and enhance profitability.
• Material Cost Reviews: Conduct thorough, timely analysis of material costs for new products to ensure accurate initial pricing and subsequent material adjustments.
• Product Setup & Revisions: Serve as a reliable, expert backup for New Part Setup and Revision Changes in our ERP systems.
• Data Analysis & Profitability: Analyze product cost, customer, and market data to identify trends, mitigate price erosion, and identify margin opportunities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, and Engineering teams to align pricing strategies with production capabilities and market demands.
• System Integrity: Ensure accuracy of pricing within the ERP system.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Experience: 3–5+ years in a pricing or estimating role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of ERP systems and advanced proficiency in MS Excel (modeling, analysis).
• Specific Industry Knowledge: Proven experience in determining manufactured part costs, BOM (Bill of Materials) analysis, and manufacturing labor/material costing.
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple, high-priority projects simultaneously.
• Targeted Experience: Prior experience with surcharge/tariff management or re-pricing strategies is highly desirable.
• Candidate Profile: Highly detailed, analytical, and capable of working independently.
Why?
This is a critical, high-impact role designed to directly influence the company’s financial performance during a period of rapid growth. You will be instrumental in maintaining profitability as we scale and will have the opportunity to take ownership of vital pricing initiatives.
