Proficiency with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, and visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI is typically required. Excellent communication, self-motivation, and time management help remote analysts present insights clearly and stay productive without direct supervision. These skills and qualities ensure accurate data-driven decisions and effective remote collaboration with stakeholders.

What is remote data analysis?

Remote data analysis refers to the process of examining, interpreting, and drawing insights from data using digital tools, while working from a location outside of a traditional office setting. Professionals in this field utilize statistical software, databases, and visualization tools to analyze large datasets and help organizations make informed decisions. Remote data analysts often collaborate with team members and stakeholders virtually, ensuring that data-driven strategies are implemented effectively. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings clearly.

How do remote data analysts typically collaborate with team members and stakeholders?

Remote data analysts often use a combination of communication and project management tools—such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom—to stay connected with colleagues and stakeholders. Regular virtual meetings, shared dashboards, and collaborative platforms enable them to discuss findings, gather requirements, and provide updates on ongoing projects. Clear documentation and proactive communication are essential to ensure alignment, especially when working across different time zones or departments. Building strong relationships with team members virtually can help streamline workflows and facilitate effective decision-making.

We develop bespoke solutions powered by data and technology for several Fortune 100 companies. We have offices in multiple cities across the US, UK, India, and Singapore, and a substantial remote global workforce.

If you are passionate about leading large-scale cloud and data modernization initiatives that transform enterprise platforms, we would love to hear from you. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to play a key role in assessing, planning, and driving enterprise migration programs across data, applications, and cloud platforms. This role will help clients modernize their technology landscape, optimize legacy systems, and enable scalable, cloud-native architectures aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead enterprise-scale data, application, and platform migration initiatives across cloud and modern data ecosystems
  2. Conduct discovery and assessment sessions with Business Units, SMEs, and IT stakeholders to understand current-state systems and migration requirements
  3. Assess ETL/ELT pipelines, BI/reporting assets, databases, enterprise applications, and cloud platforms to define migration scope and strategy
  4. Drive migration planning activities including dependency analysis, process-to-object mapping, complexity assessment, and wave-based execution planning
  5. Define and recommend migration approaches such as Rehost (Lift-and-Shift), Replatform, Refactor/Modernization, and Retire/Replace
  6. Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Cloud Architects, Data Engineers, and Analytics teams to align migration roadmaps with target-state architecture
  7. Ensure migration readiness by coordinating testing, validation, cutover planning, and implementation governance
  8. Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance on cloud modernization, data modernization, and migration best practices
  9. Track risks, dependencies, and project milestones while maintaining clear communication with business and technical stakeholders
  10. Support solution planning, effort estimation, and implementation readiness activities for migration programs

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data, application, or platform migration programs
  • Strong experience leading enterprise cloud transformation and modernization initiatives
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform and cloud migration strategies
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT tools, BI/reporting platforms, relational databases, and cloud data platforms
  • Experience with migration assessment, dependency analysis, and migration roadmap planning
  • Knowledge of data modernization and lakehouse architectures
  • Background in enterprise architecture or solution design
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience coordinating large-scale migration activities across business and technology teams
  • Self-driven individual with the ability to work independently in fast-paced transformation environments
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and enterprise-scale implementation programs
