Remote Data Aggregation involves collecting and consolidating data from various sources, focusing on data collection and management. Remote Data Analysts interpret and analyze data to generate insights, often requiring more specialized education and analytical skills. Both roles are essential in data-driven industries but serve different functions within the data lifecycle.

What is remote data aggregation?

Remote data aggregation is the process of collecting, compiling, and organizing data from various sources without being physically present at a central location. Professionals in this field use digital tools and software to access, extract, and consolidate information from databases, websites, or third-party platforms. This role is essential for businesses that rely on real-time or large-scale data from multiple sources, as it enables efficient analysis and reporting. Remote data aggregation is commonly utilized in industries such as market research, finance, and e-commerce, where timely and accurate data is crucial for decision-making.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Data Aggregation Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Data Aggregation Specialist, you need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in data management, often supported by a degree in information technology, statistics, or a related field. Familiarity with data aggregation tools, database systems (such as SQL), and spreadsheet software like Excel is typically required. Excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, and effective communication are important soft skills for collaborating remotely and ensuring accurate results. These skills and qualities are essential for efficiently collecting, organizing, and delivering high-quality data that supports business decision-making.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in remote data aggregation roles, and how can they be addressed?

Remote data aggregation professionals often encounter challenges such as inconsistent data sources, varying data formats, and communication barriers with distributed teams. These can be addressed by using robust data integration tools, establishing clear data validation protocols, and maintaining regular communication channels with colleagues and stakeholders. Staying adaptable and proactive in troubleshooting helps ensure data accuracy and timely project delivery. Additionally, ongoing training in new aggregation tools and methods can further streamline workflows.

Our best-in-class products combined with our expert underwritingย team,ย superior worldwide claims handling and exceptional service have made us the benchmark for all entertainment insurers.ย

Reel Media's Contingency team focuses on a select group of specialty lines of business including Event Cancellation, Non-Appearance, Prize Indemnity, Death & Disgrace and Political Violence & Terrorism, among others. Our team works with an established network of retail and wholesale brokers and specialty carriers to deliver tailored solutions for complex risks. We're looking for anย Associate Underwriter (Contingency)ย to join our team in a role that sits at the intersection of underwriting support and account administration. This is a hands-on position for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to build deep expertise in specialty insurance.

You'll work directly alongside our underwriters to keep the book running smoothly - from preparing quotes, binders and policy documents to tracking renewals and supporting accounting functions. • Generate and process policy documents with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Book new and renewal business in our insurance management system, ensuring accuracy of policy data, premiums, and coverage terms at entry
  • Support accounting functions, including premium and commission calculations as needed
  • Maintain organized records and assist with bordereaux and reporting as needed
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvements as the team and book evolve
  • Provide clients with a service that supports the positive image of the company.ย

Requirements: ย

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of Insurance experience, Entertainment preferred.ย
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; comfortable with formulas, data organization, and basic calculations.
  • Self-starter who is organized and able to work independently as well as collaboratively as needed.
  • Solid math fundamentals - ability to accurately calculate premiums, commissions, and allocations.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to correspond professionally with brokers and carriers and collaborate with colleagues.
  • High attention to detail and a low tolerance for errors in documentation.

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors.ย ย Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded. Jencap also offers a range of benefits and programs, based on eligibility, which currently include but are not limited to; comprehensive health care coverage, a 401k plan, and tuition reimbursement.ย  Jencap is an emerging and rapidly growing leader in the industry and as such, we approach talent acquisition as an opportunity to identify the best talent. Therefore, the level of the role and compensation may vary depending upon the best available candidate.ย
