You’ll partner closely with IT, engineering, and business teams to embed strong security practices into everyday operations while building resilient systems that support long-term infrastructure growth.

Team Overview

This team plays a critical role in advancing Intersect’s mission to accelerate the clean energy transition by building and maintaining secure, scalable systems that power our infrastructure. Working cross-functionally with teams across engineering, finance, and operations, the Technology team ensures innovation is supported by reliable, resilient, and forward-thinking systems. Joining this team means contributing to high-impact initiatives while growing alongside a group committed to collaboration, continuous improvement, and long-term value creation.

Secure Cloud, SaaS, and Endpoints

  • Continuously assess vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies across systems

Enable Security Awareness and Resilience

  • Champion a culture of security awareness through training, communication, and cross-functional collaboration

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field

  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity within IT or corporate environments, including building or scaling security programs

  • Proven ability to independently own and operate a cybersecurity function or program

  • Hands-on expertise with Okta (IAM), SIEM platforms, Google Workspace security, GCP security tools, and CrowdStrike

  • Experience securing SaaS environments, including access governance and vendor risk management

  • Strong foundation in cloud and network security architecture, including IAM frameworks and best practices

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and respond to security incidents independently

  • Experience supporting audits and aligning security practices with industry standards and frameworks

  • Understanding of cybersecurity risks in cloud-first, scaling environments and how to mature controls effectively

  • Active engagement with the cybersecurity community to stay current on threats, tools, and best practices

  • A disciplined, ownership-driven work style that enables success as a primary security leader in a lean environment
