Title: Logistics Manager
Classification: Non-Exempt

Working Hours*: 9:00am to 5:30pm, remote Wednesdays and Fridays
Schedule*: Onsite/Hybrid
Location: Vernon-2 Days/HQ (Van Nuys)-1 Day/ WFH 2 Days
The Logistics Manager is a key member responsible for the day-to-day logistical functions of the business. Responsibilities include managing inbound and outbound logistics, updating shipment details in the ERP system, overseeing inventory management, and communicating with vendors, logistics partners, and internal departments. This role will oversee all aspects of purchase order fulfillment and shipping logistics across retail, e-commerce, and international distribution. The logistics manager will ensure smooth operations of logistical functions and will take ownership of identifying and executing cost-saving strategies across the supply chain. They will support the Director of Logistics, reporting any delays or inventory issues. Attention to detail, accuracy, ERP and Excel skills as well as maintaining efficiency are important for this position. The responsibilities below show a glimpse into the role's key functions and the impactful contributions this position makes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage all international outbound logistics, including cross-dock coordination, dropship coordination of third-party partners, and vendor shipments to the warehouse or retail channels.
  • Partner with freight forwarding companies to schedule and book shipments, communicate handover deadlines, and provide purchase order information.
  • Communicate with vendors, logistics partners, and internal departments to ensure clear, accurate, and timely information flow regarding shipments, documentation, and deliveries.
  • Ensure accurate and on-time deliveries, proactively flagging delays or potential issues and recommending process improvements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Operations, and Customer Care teams to ensure smooth allocation and fulfillment processes.
  • Lead and work with the team to manage freight and forwarder inquiries.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
  • Perform receiving functions and ad-hoc logistics duties as assigned.
  • Maintain and validate all product certification requirements (e.g., Certificates of Origin, HTS codes, content requests).
  • Update shipment dates and related data in ERP/WMS systems.
  • Verify and submit vendor shipping documents to Accounting for production shipments and payments.
  • Issue and track credit memos and chargebacks.
  • Ensure all commercial and shipping documents are properly uploaded and verified in the ERP system.
  • Assist in managing trade compliance operations for international import/export transactions, working with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure timely clearance.
  • Validate HTS codes and coordinate with customs brokers as needed.
  • Support Duty Drawback Program recordkeeping and audits, ensuring proper documentation of import/export transactions and AES filings.
  • Identify inefficiencies and cost drivers in fulfillment, warehousing, and shipping.
  • Propose and execute cost-saving strategies and workflow optimizations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to address operational issues and streamline logistics processes.

Qualifications/Skills:
  • BA/BS in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in an international logistics analysis environment, preferably with a focus in Asia sourcing (particularly China) using air and sea logistics.
    Experience in consumer retail, specifically fast fashion preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with manager, co-workers and other personnel
  • Able to follow set procedures and help identify improvements/ gaps
  • Ability to solve problems in a practical, methodical way while preserving sense of urgency
  • Proficiency in ERP - NetSuite /WMS/Shopify/Ship Station experience a plus
  • Familiarity with DHL Express and FedEx Manager usage
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where managing multiple tasks is essential
  • Strong organizational skills, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with HTS codes, and Automated Customs Environment (ACE), AES filing requirements a plus
  • Advanced Excel Skills preferred, Basic Excel Skills required
  • Flexible, highly organized, self driven and a team player.
