Job description

Position Summary
CEFALY Technology is seeking an experienced operations leader to strengthen and scale the organization's global supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, and operational planning capabilities. This individual will serve as the functional leader for Operations and will be responsible for ensuring reliable product availability, efficient distribution, regulatory-compliant international trade activities, and scalable operational processes that support continued growth.
A critical priority for this role will be improving end-to-end supply planning and inventory management processes while strengthening operational visibility, forecasting accuracy, fulfillment performance, and logistics execution across global markets. This position will provide strategic oversight of third-party logistics providers, transportation partners, and operational systems while helping build long-term organizational capability through process standardization, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.
The role serves as a strategic and hands-on partner across Quality & Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Customer Service, Product Development, Commercial, and leadership teams to ensure operational excellence, business continuity, and scalable growth.
Essential Responsibilities
Supply Planning & Inventory Management
  • Own and lead the organization's supply planning process to ensure product availability while optimizing inventory investment and working capital.
  • Develop and maintain integrated demand and supply planning processes in partnership with Commercial, Finance, Customer Service, and Supply Chain stakeholders.
  • Monitor inventory levels, safety stock strategies, product availability, and inventory health across all distribution channels.
  • Lead inventory planning activities to support product launches, promotions, market expansion, and business continuity.
  • Establish operational metrics and reporting to measure forecast accuracy, inventory performance, service levels, and supply reliability.
  • Identify and mitigate supply risks through proactive planning, scenario analysis, and contingency strategies.
  • Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and executive decision-making.

Logistics & Fulfillment Leadership
  • Provide strategic oversight of domestic and international logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Lead initiatives to improve fulfillment efficiency, order accuracy, delivery performance, and customer experience.
  • Manage relationships with logistics providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and distribution partners.
  • Monitor logistics performance metrics and implement corrective actions to improve service and reduce cost.
  • Develop scalable fulfillment processes supporting growth across ecommerce, distributor, and retail channels.
  • Ensure efficient movement of products while maintaining compliance with applicable transportation and trade regulations.
  • Evaluate and implement operational improvements that enhance speed, visibility, and operational efficiency.

Import/Export Compliance & Global Trade
  • Serve as the operational lead for import/export compliance activities supporting global distribution.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable customs, trade, import, export, and transportation regulations.
  • Oversee product classifications, country-of-origin requirements, customs documentation, and trade records.
  • Partner with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Legal, and external advisors to assess regulatory impacts on global trade activities.
  • Support audits, assessments, and regulatory inquiries related to import/export operations.
  • Monitor evolving trade requirements and proactively implement process improvements to maintain compliance.

Operational Excellence & Business Process Improvement
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across operational processes, systems, and workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate risk, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Establish key performance indicators and management reporting processes to improve operational visibility and accountability.
  • Support business continuity planning, operational risk assessments, and supply chain resilience initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional projects supporting scalability, automation, and operational maturity.
  • Drive data-driven decision making through analysis of operational performance metrics and trends.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Operations, Supply Chain, and Logistics personnel.
  • Provide operational leadership across Customer Service, Finance, Quality & Regulatory Affairs, Product Development, Commercial, and leadership teams.
  • Act as an internal subject matter expert for supply chain management, logistics, fulfillment operations, and trade compliance.
  • Support employee training initiatives related to operational processes and systems.
  • Provide operational guidance during business planning, product launch, supplier management, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer focus.

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience
  • 8-12+ years of progressive operations, supply chain, logistics, or fulfillment leadership experience.
  • Experience managing contract manufacturing partners and suppliers
  • Demonstrated experience within the medical device industry or another highly regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, diagnostics, aerospace, or healthcare technology.
  • Proven experience managing global supply chains, international logistics, and inventory planning functions.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing third-party logistics providers, distribution partners, and transportation networks.
  • Experience supporting import/export compliance programs and international trade operations.
  • Experience leading Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, or integrated business planning processes.
  • Demonstrated success improving operational performance, inventory management, and customer service levels.
  • Experience supporting global commercial operations and multi-country distribution networks preferred.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong understanding of supply planning, inventory management, logistics, fulfillment operations, and global trade compliance.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations, customs requirements, and international transportation practices.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, operational reporting, and supply chain planning tools.
  • Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify operational risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.

Preferred Certifications
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or equivalent certifications preferred.
