Job description

About Menlo

Menlo Research is an Applied R&D lab building Asimov, an open-source humanoid robot platform, and the full software stack that powers it. Our mission is to make humanoid labor economically viable, turning software into physical labor at scale. We build across the full stack: hardware architecture, locomotion, autonomy, simulation, and infrastructure. We move fast, ship to real robots, and open-source everything we can. If you want your work to matter beyond a paper or a demo, this is the place.

The Role

We are looking for a Customer Success Manager to own how the world adopts, loves, and grows with Asimov. This is a growth role at heart, sitting close to marketing and owning the customer from first touch to renewal. You will turn interest into onboarded users, users into champions, and champions into revenue across the community and partner network.

What You'll Do

  • Own a revenue target across your account base, including new business, expansion, and renewals

  • Own the customer journey end to end, from first touch and onboarding through adoption, retention, and growth

  • Turn community interest and inbound into onboarded, active, paying users

  • Build the customer stories, case studies, and references that feed the marketing engine

  • Spot expansion and upsell opportunities early and turn happy users into growing accounts

  • Run onboarding, enablement, and lifecycle programs that scale across cohorts

  • Be the voice of the customer back to marketing, product, and leadership

  • Keep a clean pulse on adoption, churn risk, and account health across the base

What We Look For

  • 3+ years in customer success, account management, or growth, with real ownership of a number

  • A track record of driving adoption, retention, and expansion in a fast-growing product

  • Strong relationship and storytelling instincts that turn users into advocates

  • Sharp communication that meets customers where they are and moves them forward

  • Bias for action in a fast-moving, ambiguous, ship-first environment

  • Genuine curiosity about robotics, open-source, and the community building on it

Nice to Have

  • Experience at an open-source, developer-facing, or hardware company

  • Background bridging customer success and marketing or growth

  • History building community, running lifecycle programs, or scaling a self-serve motion

  • Former founder, open-source contributor, or side-project builder

Why Join Menlo

You will own how a global community adopts and grows with Asimov. You will carry the number, shape the customer stories that power our brand, and see your impact in real deployments and real revenue, not slide decks. If you want to help turn open hardware into real work, come build with us.

A Note on AI

You don't need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect everyone at Menlo to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement. When that's the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don't treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

Equal Opportunity and Accommodations

We hire talented people from a wide range of backgrounds. If you're excited about a role but don't meet every bullet, we still encourage you to apply. Menlo Research is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected characteristic. Menlo provides reasonable accommodations during the application process. If you need one, please let your recruiter know.
