We are expanding our Ohio clinical team and looking for a seasoned, licensed clinician who is equally energized by direct client care and operational excellence.


About the Role

The Senior Manager- LICDC Counseloris a dynamic, blended clinical leadership role for a master's-prepared clinician who thrives at the intersection of direct care, supervision, and quality systems. This is both a clinical quality and clinician position — meaning you will carry yo ur own caseload while also supporting quality, supervision, and operational functions across multiple behavioral health service lines. This role reports directly to the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO).

Your time is structured across three equally weighted areas:

Serve as a clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for updates, improvements and new service lines for our proprietary behavioral health EHR (Platform)

What You'll Do

Assessments & Treatment Plan Updates (~30%)

  • Conduct and co-sign biopsychosocial (BPS) diagnostic assessments and chemical health evaluations in accordance with ASAM criteria and Ohio Medicaid billing requirements
  • Review and approve CDCA and assessor-completed assessments; provide final clinical signature
  • Coordinate treatment plan updates (TPU) for clients across program levels of care
  • Conduct 90-day treatment plan renewals and support smooth transitions between assessment, IOP, peer, and TCM services
  • Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and billable prior to submission

Peer Recovery & TCM — Supervision, Quality & Client Experience (~30%)

  • Provide individual and group clinical supervision to Peer Recovery Supporters, Licensed Assessors and Case Manager staff monthly, in compliance with Ohio licensure requirements (LPCC-S)
  • Be willing to complete Peer Recovery Supporter Supervision Training, if not already completed, within 30 days of onboarding.
  • Log all supervision activity in our proprietary EHR within 1 day of the Supervision.
  • Conduct scheduled client quality experience calls, texts, and emails — maintaining a monthly volume of client support
  • Conduct scheduled and random chart audits across peer and TCM documentation
  • Monitor Looker dashboard reports weekly; track quality indicators and service delivery targets
  • Serve as the primary clinical escalation point for reportable concerns (RC), risk reporting (RR), and scheduled interval checks (SIC)
  • Escalated Concerns: Respond within 1 business day (average resolution: 1–3 business days)
  • Month-End Documentation: Close all documentation within 1 business day of month end
  • Submit monthly quality summary reports to the CCO

IOP Operations — Group & Individual Services (~3%)

  • Facilitate IOP groups 3 days per week (minimum), Monday through Wednesday, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM 
  • Provide individual therapy sessions for assigned IOP clients and OP clients on  Thursdays and Fridays; additional days for OP individual sessions may also be needed.
  • Ensure all IOP documentation meets Ohio Medicaid billing standards and is completed within required timeframes
  • Coordinate discharge planning and aftercare in collaboration with the Treatment Director and Care Coordinators
  • Report attendance trends, curriculum gaps, and clinical concerns to the Treatment Director

Clinical Strategy for Our Proprietary EHR Platform (~10%)

Serve as the clinical liaison and Subject Matter Expert for our EHR system, collaborating with product and technology teams on enhancements, new features, and service line rollouts. Responsibilities include:

  • Advising product development teams on clinical workflows and operational needs
  • Evaluating and recommending system updates and new features
  • Ensuring platform changes support clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and documentation requirements
  • Pilot testing new functionality and providing clinical feedback
  • Supporting implementation of new service lines within the EHR
  • Strong knowledge of OHIO Statutes and Compliance Rules

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Licensure & Credentials

  • Active LICDC (Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor) licensure in Ohio, in good standing
  • Active LMFT, LSW, LPCC or LPCC-S (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor +/- Supervisor designation) licensure in Ohio, in good standing
  • Eligible to provide clinical supervision under Ohio Counselor/Social Worker/MFT Board requirements
  • Eligible or amenable to train and provide Peer Recovery Supporter (PRS) Supervision under OHMHAS rules 

Clinical Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in substance use disorder treatment, peer recovery services, and/or targeted case management
  • Experience leading behavioral health facilities as a Treatment Director and/or Senior Leader
  • Proficiency with ASAM criteria and Ohio Medicaid billing processes
  • Solid understanding of electronic health records systems and documentation compliance requirements

Operational Skills

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with capacity to manage multiple service lines simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced, tech-enabled, remote-first environments

Preferred Qualifications:

Clinical & Program Experience

  • Experience facilitating Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) in both group and individual settings (telehealth IOP experience in this area is a plus!)
  • Background in quality assurance, chart auditing, or clinical compliance
  • Familiarity with The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation standards

Technical Proficiency

  • Experience with EHR platforms, Looker or similar reporting dashboards, and CRM systems

Mission Alignment

  • Demonstrated passion for behavioral health innovation and commitment to serving underserved populations
  • Previous experience with startup or early-stage healthcare organizations
