Job description

Work Flexibility: Remote or Hybrid or Onsite

As the Sales Education Manager, Curriculum Strategy, you will partner with sales and marketing leaders to assess and analyze business needs, market strategy, and training opportunities in order to drive Mako growth.

You will act as the lead subject matter expert for Mako and be responsible for developing, planning, and conducting training for new products, as well as new Mako markets, ensuring alignment with corporate training objectives. Through collaboration with marketing, R&D, usability, etc., you will develop innovative training strategies that maximize the use of technology to maintain and grow "world-class" standards.

This is a remote position; however, candidates must be located within reasonable proximity to a major airport.

Relocation assistance is available for candidates who elect to relocate to Fort Lauderdale, FL, or Mahwah, NJ.

What you will do:

  • Demonstrate technical expertise to design and execute sales education programs including driving the training objectives and curriculum

  • Benchmark education and training activities to determine best practices

  • Evaluate various selling methodologies and incorporate best practices that improves educational curriculum

  • Collaborate with key opinion leaders to design and facilitate educational programs

  • Ensure alignment with business objectives

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify KOL targets for sales education programs

  • Facilitate training courses and workshops based on sound adult learning principles and identified business needs.

  • Utilize subject matter and educational expertise to develop and measure learning curriculum

  • Develop new methods to increase learning effectiveness

  • Ensure sales education programs align with business objectives and marketing/sales initiatives

  • Guide and implements the global trainer certification program

  • Project Management

  • Support and/or lead cross-functional/regional team on critical projects

  • Analyze market/industry dynamics and evolving sales needs

  • Identifies opportunities that deepens training, accelerates learning and make programs more efficient

  • Perform global Mako/JR training needs assessments in partnership with the local sales education, sales leadership, and marketing teams

  • Foster and lead team collaboration for new Mako product launches with marketing, medical education, product marketing, etc

  • Proactively identifies and develops new education platforms by analyzing business needs, budget and priorities

  • Refine, develop and execute sales education strategies based on market insights and data/input following program execution

  • Evaluate new technologies or platforms that can enable more efficient or streamlined approaches

  • Develop and drive Sales Education strategy & vision by anticipating sales needs and business priorities

  • Directly involved in helping shape educational imperatives, strategy and focus for the organization

  • Manage Sales Education in accordance with P&L requirement

  • Define plan and prioritize investments

  • Collaborate with Finance partners and participate in budget planning process

  • Manage network as well as identify and develop "up and coming" thought leaders

  • Create and execute department level VOC and stakeholder feedback strategy

  • Direct and advises business partners to execute the divisional sales education strategy and programs

  • Articulate communication strategy based on impact of media channels

  • Define communication strategy in partnership with Marketing Communications and utilize most effective platform

Required

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 8+ years of work experience

  • Experience managing multiple projects while delivering on established timelines

  • Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority

  • Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies
