This is a remote position.
MasonBlue Security is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Skills Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive cybersecurity training programs to a diverse audience. The trainer will utilize their deep knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices to educate and empower individuals and organizations to safeguard their digital assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Training Programs: Design and develop engaging and effective cybersecurity training curricula for various levels of learners, including beginners, intermediate, and advanced users.
- Deliver Training Sessions: Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions, workshops, and seminars on various cybersecurity topics such as threat detection, incident response, security compliance, and ethical hacking.
- Assess and Evaluate: Create assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs and the progress of participants. Provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends, tools, and best practices in cybersecurity. Continuously update training materials to reflect the most current information and techniques.
- Customize Training: Tailor training programs to meet the specific needs of different organizations and industries. Provide one-on-one coaching and support as needed.
- Resource Development: Develop and maintain training resources such as manuals, guides, and online courses. Utilize a variety of teaching methods and tools to enhance learning experiences.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other trainers, cybersecurity experts, and stakeholders to ensure training programs are aligned with industry standards and organizational goals
Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with a strong background in training and education.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and technologies, including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, SIEM, and vulnerability assessment tools.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Training Skills: Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and delivering engaging training sessions. Familiarity with e-learning platforms and virtual training tools.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to assess training needs and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to motivate and inspire learners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specific cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Experience in developing and implementing security awareness programs.
