Remote Cross Domain information

What is a remote cross domain?

Remote Cross Domain jobs involve working across different domains or areas of expertise, often in a virtual or remote setting. These roles require collaboration between teams with varied skill sets, such as software development, cybersecurity, and project management, to manage data or processes that span multiple domains. The primary goal is to ensure secure and efficient data sharing and workflow integration between different systems or organizational units, often while adhering to strict security policies. Remote Cross Domain positions are common in sectors that handle sensitive information, such as government agencies, defense, and large enterprises.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote cross domain specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Cross Domain Specialist, you need expertise in cybersecurity, network protocols, and secure information transfer, often supported by a degree in computer science or information security and relevant security clearances. Familiarity with cross domain solution (CDS) technologies, security frameworks (such as NIST), and systems like Guard or Data Diode platforms is typically required. Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help you navigate complex security requirements and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. These skills are crucial to ensuring secure, compliant, and seamless data sharing across domains in sensitive environments.

What are some common collaboration challenges faced by remote cross domain professionals, and how can they be addressed?

Remote Cross Domain professionals often work with teams across different security domains, which can present unique collaboration challenges such as communication barriers, time zone differences, and strict data access controls. Addressing these challenges typically involves leveraging secure communication tools, establishing clear protocols for information sharing, and maintaining regular check-ins with stakeholders in various domains. Building strong relationships and understanding the security requirements of each domain are also crucial for smooth collaboration and successful project delivery.

Cyber Systems Security Architect
The Opportunity:
Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud", but not everyone knows how. As a cloud computing application architect, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. What if you could use your cloud architecture skills to improve national-security mission systems protection across cloud, hybrid, and cross-domain environments? We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of the Intelligence Community's toughest problems.
On our team, you'll lead the design and assessment of secure cloud, hybrid, and cross-domain architectures that protect mission-critical workloads and ensure strong confidentiality and integrity across rapidly evolving Cloud Service Provider (CSP) environments. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client's environment using current cloud capabilities. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with mission partners, engineering teams, and CSPs to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud modernization process.
You'll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You'll lead your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Additionally, you'll broaden your skillset in areas like advanced cloud security, adversary-focused threat analysis, cross-domain system evaluation, and below-the-waterline CSP security architectures while hardening critical systems for the Intelligence Community.
Ready to transform how the Intelligence Community secures and operates mission systems in the cloud with cloud technology?
Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
  • Experience with computer systems and networking architecture, including at higher layers of the technology stack
  • Experience with authentication, authorization, access control, encryption, networking, and cross-domain systems
  • Experience with programming to evaluate impacts
  • Knowledge of threats to computer systems across cloud, hybrid, cross-domain, and bare-metal environments
  • Knowledge of threat mitigations and mitigation management, including cloud-native and below-the-waterline controls
  • Ability to balance and prioritize competing short, mid, and long-term taskings from multiple stakeholders, and determine how best to apply expertise to mission outcomes
  • Ability to map architecture, design, implementation, and operational details to confidentiality, integrity, and availability
  • Ability to learn quickly and keep pace with rapid CSP changes and evolving technical documentation
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with below-the-waterline using major CSPs
  • Experience with above-the-waterline using major CSPs
  • Experience with data science
  • Experience with agentic computing concepts
  • Knowledge of adversary cyber tradecraft
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
