THE ROLE

Our client is seeking an AI Cloud Engineer to help modernize and scale cloud infrastructure through automation, DevOps best practices, and AI-driven operational improvements. This individual will partner closely with engineering teams to build resilient cloud environments, streamline deployment processes, strengthen security, and leverage emerging AI technologies to improve infrastructure management and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who thrives in highly autonomous environments and enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Create automation solutions using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and related scripting tools to reduce manual operational work.

  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions that ensure platform reliability, performance, and visibility.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve cloud architecture, scalability, security, and operational readiness.

  • Leverage AI technologies to automate infrastructure management, security processes, documentation, and internal workflows.

  • Establish and maintain cloud governance, security controls, compliance standards, and operational best practices.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation that supports knowledge sharing, system reliability, and long-term maintainability.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Strong experience with AWS services, including ECS, EKS, Bedrock, and other cloud-native technologies.

  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform, OpenTofu, or similar platforms.

  • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or comparable technologies.

  • Proficiency with Python and infrastructure automation scripting using Bash, PowerShell, Batch, or related tools.

  • Experience leveraging AI technologies, including Claude or other large language models, to automate operational workflows, infrastructure management, or documentation processes.

  • Strong understanding of cloud security, access management, compliance frameworks, observability platforms, and infrastructure best practices.

  • Experience supporting Linux and Windows environments, containerized workloads, and distributed cloud-based systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
