On-Site Technician Job Opportunity

Join our dynamic IT support team and make an impact in education! We are hiring On-Site Technicians who are passionate about technology and problem-solving. These roles are key to ensuring teachers, staff, and students have reliable access to the tools they need to succeed.

Position Details

Job Type: Full-Time
Work Location: On-site within assigned school district(s)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, aligned with school hours
Reports To: On-Site Engagement Manager

About the Role

As an On-Site Technician, you will provide hands-on technical support within school districts. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting hardware and software, maintaining classroom technology, supporting network infrastructure, and assisting with new device deployments. This role blends technical expertise with strong communication and customer service skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, and smartboards.
  • Provide support for Windows, Mac, iPad, and Chrome OS devices.
  • Assist end users with the utilization of Google Workspace applications.
  • Assist with network connectivity, including LAN/WAN, switches, access points, and cabling.
  • Support classroom technology setup and online testing environments.
  • Maintain and update device inventory, asset tags, and repair logs.
  • Respond to help desk tickets and escalate complex issues when necessary.
  • Install system updates, patches, and new applications.
  • Train staff and educators on digital tools and classroom devices.
  • Follow cybersecurity best practices and district IT security protocols.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and recurring issues for process improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in IT support, preferably in a school or educational environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work independently in a busy school environment.
  • CompTIA A+ (required).

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA Network+.
  • Google Certified Educator.
  • Apple Certified Support Professional (if working with macOS/iPads).
  • Knowledge of device imaging and deployment tools (SCCM, MDT, Jamf, Google Admin Console).
