Motive Workforce is partnering with an advanced aerospace and defense manufacturing company seeking a Senior Critical Infrastructure Engineer to support a highly specialized production environment focused on mission-critical manufacturing operations and production flight hardware.

This is not a traditional commercial facilities role. The position is responsible for maintaining uptime, reliability, and performance across critical industrial infrastructure systems that directly support manufacturing operations, including process chillers, industrial HVAC, compressed air systems, cranes, and facility-wide argon distribution systems.

The Senior Critical Infrastructure Engineer will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and operations leadership while overseeing preventative maintenance programs, contractor/vendor management, facility reliability initiatives, CMMS administration, and hands-on troubleshooting of complex mechanical and infrastructure systems.

The ideal candidate is highly technical, hands-on, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-accountability environments where uptime is critical. Candidates with backgrounds in aerospace, defense, semiconductor, industrial manufacturing, or other mission-critical production environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
* Own day-to-day operation, maintenance, and uptime of critical facility infrastructure supporting manufacturing operations
* Lead and oversee a small team of technicians
* Manage outside contractors, vendors, and service providers for repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance activities
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance across facility and production support systems
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and infrastructure-related issues with a hands-on approach
* Support installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment and facility systems
* Maintain and manage the CMMS system for maintenance planning, tracking, and reporting
* Support EH&S programs and maintain compliance with OSHA, ISO14001, AS9100D, and applicable local/state regulations
* Partner cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and leadership teams to support production uptime and facility reliability
* Participate in after-hours support as needed in a 24/7 operational environment

Required Technical Experience
Strong working knowledge of:
* Industrial HVAC and air conditioning systems
* Process chillers and cooling systems
* Facility-wide argon distribution systems
* Compressed air systems
* Industrial cranes and lifting systems
* Industrial utility infrastructure supporting manufacturing operations

โ€ข 10+ years of experience in facilities engineering, industrial maintenance, plant engineering, or critical infrastructure environments
โ€ข Experience supporting aerospace, defense, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, industrial, or mission-critical operations preferred
โ€ข Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across complex mechanical and facility systems
โ€ข Ability to read blueprints, maintenance manuals, schematics, and technical documentation
โ€ข Experience using multimeters, sensors, diagnostics tools, and industrial maintenance equipment
โ€ข Experience managing CMMS systems and preventative maintenance programs
โ€ข Strong understanding of EH&S requirements and compliance programs
