This role is conducted in a fully remote telehealth setting, allowing licensed counselors the flexibility to provide care from the comfort of their own homes. Our team operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, offering work-life balance while catering to the needs of clients in urgent situations. The remote setup fosters a collaborative atmosphere where counselors can share insights and strategies through virtual meetings and training sessions.

• Conduct thorough crisis assessments and interventions for individuals experiencing sudden mental health emergencies, including developing tailored crisis intervention plans.
• Provide immediate counseling support to clients in distress, ensuring they feel heard, understood, and supported.
• Collaborate effectively with law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary, prioritizing client safety in high-stakes situations.
• Follow up with clients post-crisis to assess ongoing needs and provide continuous support, adjusting treatment recommendations as necessary.
• Utilize crisis intervention strategies and de-escalation procedures to manage challenging situations, demonstrating strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills in crisis counseling and trauma-informed care methodologies.

This position specifically targets individuals struggling with addiction and those in emotional crises. Counselors will work with diverse populations, necessitating a culturally responsive and empathetic approach. Our clients may present with various challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and the risk of self-harm. As a counselor, you will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate these issues while promoting their overall mental well-being.

• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in crisis intervention and mental health counseling.
• Additional training or specialization in trauma-informed care and crisis counseling is preferred.
• Ability to provide counseling to individuals in immediate mental health crises effectively.
• Familiarity with evidence-based crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies is essential.
