Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our multicultural outpatient psychiatry practice remotely. In this full-time role, you will provide high-quality mental health services to a range of patients, contributing significantly to their well-being and personal growth.

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while contributing to a collaborative team that meets regularly via virtual meetings. Our work schedule is set from Monday to Friday, with hours running from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, although some flexibility is allowed to meet the unique needs of our diverse patient base.

• Conduct comprehensive and culturally informed mental health assessments to develop tailored treatment plans for patients.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, adapting sessions based on individual cultural and personal backgrounds.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing complex mental health issues while promoting resilience.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients.
• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies to support immediate needs.
• Advise patients and their families on mental health disorders, available treatment options, and essential community resources.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential record-keeping in line with ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in team meetings, case conferences, and advocacy for cultural competence in therapy.
• Stay updated on current research and best practices in the mental health field to enrich therapeutic strategies.

• A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required. A master’s degree is preferred as part of the ideal candidate’s educational background.
• A valid and current license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Virginia.
• Demonstrated expertise in understanding and treating various mental health disorders and employing culturally sensitive therapeutic approaches.
• A strong ability to provide individual and group therapy, utilizing strategies that are culturally relevant.
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills, coupled with the ability to stay calm and collected during high-pressure scenarios.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications.
• A commitment to upholding professional boundaries, ethical practices, and confidentiality standards.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

• A minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in mental health counseling, particularly in outpatient settings.
• Experience working with culturally diverse populations and understanding the unique challenges faced by these groups.

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between $70,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
