Position Overview

Psychiatric Unity Mental Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselors to join our diverse and supportive team. In this full-time remote role, you will work directly with clients to foster emotional well-being and facilitate their journey toward successful treatment outcomes. This position offers an attractive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting initial assessments and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
  • Engaging with clients during telehealth sessions to collaboratively set and achieve therapeutic goals.
  • Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions and prevention-focused therapy techniques.
  • Regularly reviewing and updating treatment plans in response to client progress and feedback.
  • Coordinating care by collaborating with other healthcare providers, placement agencies, and support services as necessary.
  • Ensuring all clinical documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintaining an organized caseload while documenting session notes that capture clientsโ€™ progress and insights.
  • Contributing to team meetings by sharing insights, best practices, and fostering a collaborative culture.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele encompasses a diverse range of individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and interpersonal conflicts. You will have the opportunity to provide support to clients from different backgrounds, allowing you to enhance your cross-cultural competencies and therapeutic techniques.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field, with full licensure as a LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
  • At least one year of experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating your capacity to work effectively with clients.
  • A strong understanding of community mental health resources and how to connect clients with appropriate services.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, vital for effective client interactions and documentation.
  • Ability to establish rapport and foster a trusting relationship with clients.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities that contribute positively to the team dynamic.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with telehealth platforms and remote therapy techniques.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, or solution-focused therapy.
  • Previous experience in working with a diverse clientele is highly valued.
