Job description

Position Title: Technical Producer

Position Summary

We are seeking a Technical Producer to serve as a critical link between creative vision, technical design, and operational execution. Reporting to our CTO as part of the Technical Design and Integration team, you'll work alongside our Senior Technical Producers to scope, produce, and oversee delivery of sophisticated, often first-of-its-kind production systems and experiences - and then make sure they run. You'll play a hands-on role in project planning, resource management, procurement, vendor coordination, and system implementation across a diverse slate of initiatives.

At OGS, production doesn't end at handover. We follow a proven process - Consult, Design, Integrate, Operate - and this role carries projects through all four stages: from scoping the workstream to training the people who will run the system every day after we leave the room.

This is a role for someone with deep technical chops, an impeccable sense of ownership, and the ability to drive clarity across complex deliverables. You're someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves solving hard problems, and knows how to lead without ego.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day production of 1-2 concurrent technology projects: scheduling, vendor communications, resource planning, and cross-functional workflows

  • Partner with the CTO and engineering leads to scope and translate project needs into clear, deliverable-based technical workstreams

  • Manage the procurement lifecycle: build and submit BOMs, coordinate purchase orders, and track vendor invoices against project budgets - keeping finance in the loop without being asked

  • Drive accountability across internal and external teams to ensure on-time, on-budget, and on-spec delivery

  • Tell the truth early: troubleshoot and escalate risks - technical and operational - before they become blockers

  • Own documentation, training materials, and operating playbooks so systems are runnable by the client's own team, not just by us

  • Ensure smooth integration between content, hardware, and software systems, especially in live or hybrid environments

  • Act as a high-trust interface between clients, creative teams, and engineering leads

  • Review and pressure-test project proposals so scopes reflect what delivery actually takes

Qualifications/Skill Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in technical production, systems integration, or media technology operations

  • Fluency in AV, broadcast, or virtual production workflows; comfort with hardware/software convergence

  • Demonstrated experience managing fast-paced, high-stakes projects with multidisciplinary teams

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills - decision-grade, not noise

  • Calm under pressure, decisive under uncertainty

  • Strong organizational skills and familiarity with project management tools such as Jira

  • Bonus: experience with Disguise, Pixera, Unreal Engine, camera tracking systems, and LED volume integrations

What you bring

  • A killer attitude, deep accountability, and the drive to figure things out

  • The ability to see both the 30,000-foot view and the 3-inch gap

  • Confidence to challenge assumptions and propose better approaches - backed by action

  • Passion for building things that have never been done before, and making them work in the real world

How we work

Reality first. Systems over heroics. Decision-grade communication. High standards, low drama. Finish the job. We prefer substance over jargon and operability over decoration - a system only counts if it performs when the pressure is real.

What we offer

  • The opportunity to work in a fast-paced, growing company with room for advancement, learning directly from top industry professionals on first-of-its-kind projects

  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage - OGS covers 85% of your selected medical plan

  • Discretionary annual bonus eligibility of up to 5% of base salary under our Variable Compensation Plan

  • Unlimited Time Off policy, plus paid company holidays and sick leave

  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), commuter benefits, and Employee Assistance Program

Location: Hybrid - Burbank, CA / Remote

Anticipated Start Date: September  1, 2026

Employment Type: Exempt, full-time position (40 hours per week)

Salary: $100,000 - 125,000 / Year
