Job description

Position: Creative Director (UX/UI Leadership) – Contractor

Location: Remote but must be local to the DC, Maryland, Delaware, or Virginia area

Assignment Type: 3 – 6 Months Contract (with option to extend or convert to FTE)

Work Hours: M-F (full-time 40 hours)

Target Pay Rate: $50 - $60/hr

Benefits: This job is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) after 60 days

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States. This position is not eligible for sponsorship

 

About the Role: A leading digital agency is seeking a Creative Director to lead brand, UX/UI, and digital product design across software-driven client engagements. This role partners with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality digital experiences while advancing modern, AI-enabled creative workflows.

Top Requirements

  • MUST Have a Portfolio - demonstrating leadership across digital products, applications, and brand experiences
  • 5+ years in a Creative Director or senior creative leadership role
  • Strong background in UX/UI and software or digital product design
  • Experience working in Agile environments with Jira and Confluence

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams across design, UX, and digital product delivery
  • Experience improving creative operations and production workflows
  • Proficiency with Figma, Miro, and Adobe Creative Suite
