We offer a fully remote position with the flexibility to balance your work and personal life, allowing you to serve clients effectively from any location with a reliable internet connection. As a key member of our counseling team, you will utilize your clinical skills and expertise to support and empower clients in their mental health journeys.

About the Organization

At North Olympic Behavioral Health Services, we pride ourselves on a holistic, community-based approach to mental health care. Our agency is committed to recruiting and developing passionate professionals who share our vision of creating a supportive and innovative workplace. We believe in fostering talent from within through ongoing training and development, allowing our staff to grow alongside the organization while actively contributing to the well-being of our communities.

Work Environment

This position is 100% remote, enabling you to perform your duties from anywhere you choose, provided there is a stable internet connection. Our work environment is tailored to provide a therapy-focused model that minimizes administrative tasks, allowing you to concentrate fully on client care. We prioritize a culture of collaboration and support, where creative ideas are encouraged, and team members share best practices to enhance the quality of care we provide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain insight into each patient’s unique situation and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are appropriate for individual clients, taking into account their cultural backgrounds and specific needs.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to effectively address a range of mental health concerns and promote resilience among clients.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for all patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, offering immediate support to clients in need.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and local community resources that can aid in their recovery process.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in our electronic health record system.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population encompasses individuals from diverse backgrounds, including adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. We emphasize inclusivity and cultural competence in our approach, ensuring that each client receives personalized care that addresses their unique experiences and needs.

Qualifications
  • Possession of an active state license in one of the following areas: Clinical Social Work (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), Professional Counseling (LPC), or Psychology (PhD/PsyD).
  • Ability to practice independently, handling a caseload of clients with minimal supervision.
  • Strong engagement and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in working with diverse populations or specific therapeutic frameworks (such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, or trauma-informed care) would be advantageous. Prior experience in outpatient settings or telehealth practices is also a plus, as it prepares you for the demands of this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position falls between $74,000 and $104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we are proud to offer a generous sign-on bonus and additional performance-based incentives. Benefits include:

  • The flexibility to work from anywhere with an internet connection.
  • A supportive environment that prioritizes mental health, allowing you to thrive professionally and personally.
  • A consistent flow of client referrals, ensuring you can build a robust caseload quickly.
  • Minimal administrative burden, allowing you to focus predominantly on providing quality care.
  • Flexible working hours between 5 to 40 hours per week—choose a schedule that best fits your life.
