Job Description

  • Lead the planning, organization, and execution of complex rigging and transportation-related project work.
  • Develop detailed project scopes, identify project requirements, and establish schedules that keep work moving efficiently.
  • Manage day-to-day project operations while maintaining oversight of scope, progress, manpower, equipment, and resources.
  • Coordinate with customers, office personnel, dispatch, crews, and other site personnel to plan scheduling and equipment mobilization.
  • Identify equipment requirements and coordinate timely delivery of specialized equipment to project sites.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for field crews while coordinating rigging activities with customers, craftsmen, and other site personnel.
  • Inspect and manage work sites to monitor progress and ensure work conforms to project scope and specifications.
  • Establish and enforce work standards, operating procedures, and safety practices.
  • Lead Job Hazard Analysis activities and ensure compliance with applicable safety training and procedures.
  • Maintain complete, current, and properly organized project documentation.
  • Provide oversight and controls that support project profitability and successful execution.
  • Mentor and develop team members to strengthen field proficiency and operational performance.
  • Assign daily work activities and ensure effective utilization of manpower and equipment.
  • Communicate project updates, priorities, and operational needs clearly with customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of directly relevant experience in heavy rigging, crane operations, heavy haul transportation, industrial heavy construction, or a closely related field.
  • 3+ years of superintendent, project superintendent, field superintendent, or comparable field leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of rigging principles, project planning, field operations, and heavy equipment.
  • Proven ability to lead crews, coordinate multiple priorities, and manage complex job-site activities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience with Goldhofer or similar hydraulic platform trailers is preferred.
  • Familiarity with gantry systems, unified jacking systems, strand jacks, and jack and slide systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
