• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' mental health and mood disorder symptoms, including assessments that measure the intensity, frequency, and duration of their experiences.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their individual goals, preferences, and unique circumstances.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate positive change and recovery.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, coping mechanisms, and the importance of self-care practices.
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Engage in integrated care practices by collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive treatment.
• Stay current with developments in mood disorder research and treatment methodologies to enhance the therapeutic process.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records following professional ethical and legal standards.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development opportunities.
• Advocate for the mental health needs and rights of clients, working to reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues.

The primary focus of this role involves working with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clients may come from diverse backgrounds, including homeless populations, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. This position requires a compassionate and culturally sensitive approach to help these individuals navigate their emotional challenges and lead healthier lives.

• Active and current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and establish a therapeutic alliance with clients.
• Empathetic and nonjudgmental attitude towards clients' experiences, demonstrating genuine understanding and support.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to balance clinical responsibilities and administrative tasks effectively.
