Job description

Position Title: Costpoint Senior Accountant (Compliance Focus)

Location: Sterling, VA (remote flexibility) - some travel as needed

Assignment Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $95000 - $125000 / Year

Job Description:

  • Assist with FAR and CAS compliance, including accounting policy development and compliance reviews.
  • Prepare Incurred Cost Submissions and supporting schedules, and respond to DCAA audit requests.
  • Review indirect cost pools and allocation methodologies to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Support the development of Forward Pricing Rate Proposals through rate forecasting, analysis, and negotiation support.
  • Document accounting processes and design internal controls to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Support accounting transformation initiatives and provide ERP advisory services, with experience in Deltek Costpoint.

 Qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven years of accounting experience within the government contracting industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) compliance.
  • Must be able to comply with US Citizenship
  • Hands-on experience preparing Incurred Cost Submissions and supporting related documentation.
  • Experience developing and supporting Forward Pricing Rate Proposals.
  • Proven ability to assist with DCAA or other government audit activities.
  • At least five years of experience using Deltek Costpoint - including implementation of the system.
